Katherine Heigl on rudeness: ‘I’ve made mistakes’

Katherine-Heigl-creditKatherine Heigl addressed the ongoing rumor in Hollywood that she is rude and difficult to work with. The State of Affairs star was answering questions on her Facebook fanpage on Saturday, when one commenter asked for her thoughts on the rumors. “Yeah I’ve heard those too… honestly I don’t think I am… nothing makes me more uncomfortable than confrontation or hurting someone’s feelings and I would never, ever actively do so on purpose,” Katherine responded. “Of course just like any human being I’ve made mistakes and unwittingly or carelessly spoken or acted but I always try to make any wrong right. That doesn’t mean I won’t stand up for myself by drawing boundaries and asking to be treated kindly and respectfully but I don’t do that with any rude or unkind intentions just with the same strength and honesty I think every one of us is entitled to.”

The actress made national headlines during her high-profile exit of the popular drama series Grey’s Anatomy. The show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, is still bitter about the break, telling The Hollywood Reporter in October that she doesn’t put up with “nasty people” and that there are no “Heigls” on her current series. ~Kelly Townsend
