Katie Holmes reveals her greatest fear

Katie Holmes revealed her greatest fear during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this week. When he asked the Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark actress what she’s afraid of in real life, she responded, “I’m really scared of raccoons.” Leno joked, “Why raccoons? Is it the mask? Do you think they’re criminals?” Katie answered that it was their boldness. She told Leno about an encounter with a raccoon: “I was recently sitting outside, and this raccoon comes right up, like right there. I was expecting it to be more afraid of me, and I’m staring at it, and it’s staring back like he’s going to kick my butt!” However, she took care of the situation like a trouper. She explained, “I didn’t know what to do so I stood up and barked at him. And he ran away.” Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark opens August 26th in theatres. Watch the interview below:
