Kidman accused of using too much Botox

Nicole KidmanA Botox expert recently accused Kidman of looking like a bat because of her alleged overuse of the treatment, and Britt Ekland, 65, agrees, saying Nicole Kidman uses much too much. The former Bond Girl said: “It’s fatal when actresses use Botox. I remember seeing Cold Mountain, and it really looked to me like Nicole Kidman had been using it. Her face was neither sad nor glad – nor anything, she was just like a painted doll. I thought: ‘Why would she do that?'” By the way, Kidman has never admitted to using Botox.

I’m sure if her forehead could move, Nicole would show surprise at the accusation that she uses too much Botox.

  2. PeaceOut • August 22, 2008 @ 9:51 AM

    Agree Stephen!

I wonder why she also still walks around with dark brown eyebrows and completely manufactured blonde? Dye the eyebrows damn it!

  3. Tayderhead • August 22, 2008 @ 9:53 AM

But good job she worries ’bout how much Botox to use to dress her face cuz looks like she runs around bare nekkid. LOLOLOL Maybe lil more clothes and lil less Botox would be good.

Did you see Meg Ryan recently????

    Like a Joker from Batman.

  5. Ashley • August 22, 2008 @ 11:35 AM

is she even wearing a shirt??

  6. Jo-Anne. • August 22, 2008 @ 11:56 AM

    PeaceOut,
Question….what about all the millions that have streaked hair, should they have striped eyebrows? hmmm…..

  7. Amber • August 22, 2008 @ 12:01 PM

@ PeaceOut: At least you can’t see her roots(unlike so many celebrities)!! Oh people, stop being so judgemental. She has good facial features.. let it be.

what’s the fun in not making fun of others?

  9. Anonymous • August 22, 2008 @ 2:29 PM

She USED to be a natural beauty. Now she’s expressionless with features so sharp they could cut glass. Slap some sloppy black eye makeup on her, and she’s ready for her closeup, Mr. DeMille!

Too much Botox, and I liked her old nose better. She looks too much like a Barbie Doll nowadays.

Eyebrows don’t have to match hair colour! But she definitely used to be far prettier before she went all synthetic – lips included. And it affects her acting since she is less expressive in her face 🙁

  12. Mustang • August 23, 2008 @ 2:18 AM

I’m so glad somebody has finally brought Nicole’s over-use of Botox into the public eye. It can’t be good for her – imagine if she were to stop? It would be like my grandma appearing right before my eyes (less the body).lol People can get ‘confused’ by their own self image celebrities and us folk alike; she may look in the mirror and see the smooth, velvet face of a 16yr old just like a dude with a mullet may see a rebel without a cause, but how others see us may, and often, can be very different. Either way, I feel bad for her. Hollywood pressure to be young and beautiful, especially on women, aside, she can delay lifes aging process but sooner or later it’s going to come. Seriously, what if she were to stop??

  13. Mary • August 23, 2008 @ 2:32 PM

Her Botox treatment is staying out of the sun. Notice the color of her body skin matches her face. Don’t be so judgemental she’s a great little actress. Why is it some people just thrive on this type of garbage gossip? Even if she does what’s the big deal were not paying for it!A

  14. Jo-Anne. • August 23, 2008 @ 6:44 PM

Mary, well said. Nicole is a very accomplished actress – funny thing, I never noticed her “frozen face” in Cold Mountain at all.

And why doesn’t the “Botox Expert” use their name? Put their money where their mouth is. Coward. I always love this “expert”, a “close source”, a “family friend”…I mean that’s not hard to verify!

Kidman doesn’t owe explanations to anyone on what she does regarding her personal aesthetic choices.

  15. Patricia Boyle • August 23, 2008 @ 8:12 PM

Ms. Kidman is a very good actress and what she does in her personal life is her personal business.

  16. Jordie • August 23, 2008 @ 9:24 PM

Here’s one that I surprisingly have to agree with Jo-Anne on.
Nicole is a stunningly beautiful woman, whether it’s all natural or not and a great actress. I don’t really think a woman who recently had a baby would put poison into her system, especially if she’s breastfeeding. Anything to sell gossip these days it seems.

  17. Jo-Anne. • August 23, 2008 @ 10:34 PM

Patricia, very good comment, totally agree, what Nicole does is her business

I don’t find her particularly attractive but I think she is a heck of a good actress and as stated earlier, her aesthetic preferences should be her business alone

  18. Ian • August 24, 2008 @ 3:36 AM

About Nicole and her use of Botox:
Mustang, Mary & Patricia; excellent comments. I agree. Good actress, accomplished. What she does in her own time and with her own money; Her choice. If she wants to look artificial, let her.
But all of you. Look at the picture again. Look at the shoulder line. That’s not Kidman’s shoulders. Seriously! Compare it against all other shots of kidman Showing some shoulder, clothed or otherwise. I see a huge difference. This is a look-alike. Enough similarities to fool the crowds and masses.
Plus is Kidman going to do anything to Orphan her child from their mother? No! So she’s not going to do it to her own child either.

  19. tributegirl • August 24, 2008 @ 12:57 PM

Hey, Ian, I totally agree with you about the article, Nicole is a very smart lady, she’s not going to do anything to orphan her child.

  20. Mustang • August 24, 2008 @ 2:33 PM

Ian, Tributegirl.. Thank you both. This is only the 3rd time I’ve been on this website and EVERY SINGLE TIME these 3 are going at each other and ignoring the topic of discussion. I would never say that for Nicole to use Botox is not her own business however, being in the public eye and having watched her movies for years, plus calculating in the factor of her age, yes, I’d say she’s had Botox treatments, and it is just my plain ol’ opinion that I’ve noticed this for quite awhile. To the haters: I’ll give you my home address if you want to come over and kill me for sharing my adult opinion. 🙂

  21. tributegirl • August 24, 2008 @ 4:41 PM

Mustang, LOL, I wouldn’t share my home addy if I were you, someone would have the cops after you for having an opinion! There is one on here (no names!) who keeps picking at people, that’s why all this foolishness keeps going, if she’d buzz off everyone would be quite happy.
And btw, I agree, I think Nicole looks a little (or a lot) too perfect, like a barbie or something. And I think that’s too bad, because I’ve always thought she was pretty enough, and a great actress. Some people seem to strive for perfection, and I think that’s usually a sign of insecurity.

  22. Jordie • August 24, 2008 @ 7:23 PM

Logic seems to fall on deaf ears here because “Emily Post” is all about the proper etiquette?? This is an entertainment site where people can supposedly express their own opinions. If they don’t agree with JO-ANNE, and even when they DO, she finds a reason to turn it into something about herself. Must need alot of attention – and Jo-Anne think for yourself instead of copying a pasting someone else’s comments. If you can’t see past your own opinion, then maybe you should just stop posting the put-downs of other people that you don’t even know. You are very cruel, I don’t want to be dragged down to your level again!

  23. Jordie • August 24, 2008 @ 8:10 PM

What was the topic here – oh yeah BOTOX. WHO CARES? I did get a kick out of the comment about NOT seeing a “Frozen Face” in the movie “Cold Mountain”, a place where anyone’s face could literally be frozen!

  24. DoYo • August 24, 2008 @ 9:26 PM

It must be hard to age when you are known for your beauty (I can only imagine it). But being an actress means your life is public and subject to the audience opinion. The only thing an actor hates worse than being talked about is not being talked about.

  25. Jo-Anne. • August 25, 2008 @ 11:40 AM

Like it says, Lexie, “a Botox expert” – hence my comment earlier. You couldn’t get much vaguer than that. You’re right, Cold Mountain was long before that, and I think she looked and was amazing in that role, no hint of an expressionless face as Britt (another Botox expert) comments.

  26. ke • August 25, 2008 @ 5:17 PM

i didn’t expect there to be so many comments. as for the article: i don’t know if i believe nicole kidman has used botox. she comes off to me as someone who would want to grow old naturally. maybe that’s just the way her face is. i’m a huge fan and would hate to discover she’s one of the those ‘hollywood’ beauties, aka fake beauties…
