Kim Cattrall among Walk of Fame inductees

The 2009 inductees to Canada’s Walk of Fame were announced yesterday by CEO and Walk of Fame president Peter Soumalias. The inductees are Kim Cattrall, Howie Mandel, Blue Rodeo, Tom Cochrane, the late Raymond Burr (known for his roles in the TV series Perry Mason and Ironside), children’s book author Robert Munsch, twin fashion designers Dsquared2 (Dean and Dan Caten) and Paralympian track athlete Chantal Petitclerc. To qualify for induction to Canada’s Walk of Fame, candidates must have been born in Canada or spent their formative or creative years here.  They must also have been successful for a minimum of 10 years and have a body of work recognized for its impact on our cultural heritage. The nine recipients will be celebrated as part of The Canada Honours tribute on Saturday, September 12 at Toronto’s Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.  The evening’s festivities will be broadcast on Global Television.
