Kirsten Dunst says rehab wasn’t for addiction

Kirsten Dunst out of rehabKirsten Dunst is talking to the media about her stint at the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah this past February, explaining that she wasn’t there for drug or alcohol abuse, but instead was seeking help for her depression. “I was struggling, and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself,” Dunst, 26, told E! Online. “I was fortunate to have the resources to do it. My friends and family thought it was a good idea, too. Now that I’m feeling stronger, I was prepared to say something… Depression is pretty serious and should not be gossiped about.”

As far as I am concerned, no explanation is needed…you do what you need to do and who cares what other people think? If they don’t like it, too bad! It is your life not theirs. Everyone has skeletons in their closet…yes, EVERYONE! Kristen doesn’t seem to be dragging the paparazzi around on a leash like some of the other stars do, so my opinion is to let her be.

Exactly, depression is very serious and I’m very pleased that she has faced it head on and has taken the steps she needs to beat it. Bravo, Kirsten!

Tributegirl: I read your comment and totally agree with it. But one thought in particular crossed my mind….”Ooops! I spelled Kirsten wrong!”

She seems to be a nice girl. But for the record, I know people that are hooked on being depressed, as they enjoy the attention. But I doubt this is her scene.

I don’t know why these stars are depressed I mean ya they have no privacy but they have all the money in the world and the easiest job, I would be extremely happy aside from the paparazi folowing me around.

Money and fame are not everything, though.

    Everyone has personal problems.

I’m not saying money and fame are everything I wouldn’t want to be famous I’d have no privacy and yes everyone has problems but they do have a roof over their head they have food in their fridge (or can afford to go out to restaurant and have people cook for them every day) but there are millions of people all over the world who have no home that live on the street don’t even have clean water to drink let alone have anything to eat they have a reason to be depressed and then they have to deal with it on their own instead of staying at some lodge for thousands of dollars for some doctor to help them get through I think it’s ridiculous and I don’t feel sorry for these stars what so ever. I mean look at Angelina Jolie she went through depression where she wanted to kill herself and then she went to these countries where they have nothing and thought to herself look at how these people live compared to how they live in hollywood which is why she donates all her money and takes these kids in who have nothing or no one to care for them and give them a better life….It makes me sick…

No one knows what her problems are, though. So, how can one judge whether or not her depression is worthy of a little space and time away? So she has a roof over her head, and food to eat…whoopie! For all any of us know maybe she was molested as a child or raped later on, something like that! So, she can afford to take a little time to get away and get help! Depression is depression, no matter how great, what the cause or who the person is and how wealthy and well-off they are.

Depression is often caused by chemical imbalance in the brain and has nothing to do with how much money or fame one has or hasn’t. Some people need to keep in mind that these Star’s are people too, with all the same up’s and down’s as the rest of us. We all have our issues.

She has said she was being treated for depression. How about we just leave it at that?
