Kiwis don’t want Russell Crowe on Aussie stamp

There’s been some controversy surrounding the choice of Russell Crowe having his likeness appear on an Australian stamp. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Crowe, Nicole Kidman, Geoffrey Rush and Cate Blanchett will appear on special postage stamps issued by the Australian Postal Service as part of this year’s Australia Day celebrations on January 26. “These four outstanding Australians have captured the imagination of millions of people in Australia and around the world with their award-winning performances,” said the postal service’s managing director Graeme John. However, New Zealanders are complaining about the inclusion of Crowe, because although he was raised in Australia and became an Australian citizen in 2006, he was born in New Zealand.
