Kristen Bell fined for improper behavior

During a recent trip to Africa, actress Kristen Bell and her funnyman fiancé Dax Shepard were fined for improper behavior during a safari. While filming vacation footage on the Serengeti, the Hit & Run star and Shepard decided it would be funny to film a video of them dancing near the animals, planning to edit it into a music video later. However, when African wildlife police caught them making their home video, they were less than impressed with the spectacle. “We wanted to see the wildebeest migrate so we had driven five hours in the car, we finally got to them on the Serengeti, we got out of the car [and] we started doing a dance for this music video,” said Shepard. “We weren’t paying attention and then the Serengeti police showed up and they fined us $50 for dancing at the Serengeti.” The adventurous couple were allowed to keep their footage and plan to edit the video to the song “Africa” by Toto. This isn’t the first time Bell has made headlines because of her animal-loving nature. Earlier this year, a video of her having a meltdown after meeting a sloth went viral when it premiered on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. ~Kyle Sharp

  3. Bob • May 24, 2012 @ 11:11 AM

Yeah way to disrespect the peace and sanctity of the natural wildlife. So disrespectful

The fine was for doing the horizontal lambada for a pr0n. But close enough.

The audacity of some people, having fun in Africa. Africa is all about coup-d’etat famine, and aids.

  6. jag • May 24, 2012 @ 2:23 PM

wes, you are a racist bastard. Africa is huge, and it depends where you go. If you want to believe and worse, state, that Africa is just about what you say, then I invite you to contract AIDS voluntarily and do the world a favour.

Im sure they meant no harm or disrespect by dancing with the animals. Just two animal-loving individuals having some fun. Let them be…

obviously wes was being sarcastic. and i found his comment (the first half of it) to be funny.

    Talk about stupidity!

An $50 fine… THEIR lucky that’s all they got! What kind of MORON’s would do something like that?

    Why only rich MORON’s…

I never understood people who believe that putting your life in danger is funny. Grow Up!

  11. JD • May 24, 2012 @ 10:09 PM

You tools need to lighten up. I’m sure calling people MORONS over the internet makes you feel better about yourself, but maybe get a hobby. Kristen is one of the sweetest celebs I’ve ever seen. Nowhere did it say they were in real danger, like the wildebeests were going to be offended by their dancing and decide to come over and trample them. It’s okay to have a little fun, you should try it some time!

I would have called them morons for trying to physically interact with the wildlife (hold them, feed them, pet them, etc). Accusing them of being celebutards because they were dancing in the Serengeti (an action that is relatively harmless) is a bit extreme.
I don’t give people crap about the sanctity of wildlife for owning domestic pets or exotic plants. Seriously? They’re paid to be famous, not shining examples of perfection. If you want to perpetuate a perfect image, I dare you to try- because you’ll fail just as swiftly as anyone else. The air is obviously thin up in the clouds you people have your heads in.

Jag is apparently one of these ppl who scream racism at every imagined opportunity.
If what Wes said is racism, then the people behind all these bleeding heart sob videos on TV telling everyone to donate are racists too because they also claim famine & starvation and aids, as Wes mentioned and got called racist for it.
BTW, I agree, Africa is huge, as you said Jag, so what I always wonder is….why don’t the bleeding hearts go and campaign the rich in Africa for the big donations they need for their own people? Just saying.

  14. NastyNellie • May 25, 2012 @ 2:06 AM

As an afterthought, I wonder if the rich in Africa donate to the poor & people in the slum areas of OUR country??

  15. Rita • May 29, 2012 @ 8:14 AM

As long as they weren’t in any danger and it Didn’t sound like they were; more power to them for their Creative dancing and Real good fun. They weren’t making fun of Anyone so Good for them!

Why are people even commenting on this (including me)? It’s stupid. They are stupid. This story is stupid. And I declare everyone who has commented on this story stupid (including me).
