Kristen Dunst loves herself

Kirsten Dunst on the cover of Harper's BazaarKirsten Dunst told Harper’s Bazaar that her stint at the Cirque Lodge rehabilitation center earlier this year for depression really helped get her life in perspective. “Everyone goes through a hard time in their life,” Dunst says in the October issue of the magazine. “They just don’t have to do it in front of tons of people and with our media the way it is. I did, and I’m lucky that I had the resources and the money to take care of myself.” She describes herself prior to rehab as “enormously co-dependent,” but adds, “Now, I’m great. [Before,] I wasn’t taking care of myself emotionally. I wasn’t expressing my anger,” she says. “I was making nice all the time.” As for her private life, she says she’s finally learned to exist without a man by her side. “Listen, I’m happy single or not single,” she says. “Now I love me, so I’m okay.”

Good for her. I am not a fan, but good for her. I always find it amusing when women have to voice they can “exist without a man by their side” – proving just what exactly?

We should all be able to EXIST single, it’s all a matter of personal choice where you take your life. The existing part should be easy, the important part is to LIVE your life fully.

Sorry I can’t say “good for her”. While she promoted Spiderman 3, she and her cast members were doing nothing but bitching and moaning about the schedule and how they were bored with the Spidey movies. Wa, Wa, Wa….like a bunch of babies. They make millions in a heart beat while the rest of us scrounge to make a few hundred. I have NO empathy for these rich, spoiled little Hollywood types! She’d be a better person if she were a normal person like the rest of us. We learn about ourselves in the REAL world and not at some swanky resort paradise. We adapt, or die, simple as that. All she can do is try to “play” normal people. She can piss and moan elsewhere…I could care less. Now, I have to go back to my REAL job.
