Kristen Stewart injured on set – filming halted

Kristen Stewart was injured this week on the set of her new movie, Snow White and the Huntsman, which put filming on hold for several days. Fellow actor Max Manganello, who plays a soldier in the film, tweeted the following on Tuesday morning: “It’s a wrap for today. Kristen hurt herself… nothing scary. We shoot on friday.” However, the tweet was later taken down, perhaps due to pressure from the filmmakers who want to keep a lid on the behind-the-scenes news? At any rate, no other information has been released and although production has been halted for almost three days, it sounds like her injury wasn’t too serious. In a recent interview with Boxoffice Magazine, Stewart revealed how drained she is from working on the film, saying: “I’m exhausted right now and I was thinking, ‘The fight stuff is coming up, maybe that won’t be so bad.’ And then I realized that they’re probably going to be my most emotional scenes because I’m killing people and I’m Snow White.” In the meantime, Kristen will next hit the big screen November 18th, when her new movie, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens.

That seems a little mysterious. Conspiracy theory, anyone?

Why even publish this if the tweet said she was fine and then later removed because it likely wasn’t a big deal and easily misinterpreted? The headline your web designer used makes people think something serious happened to her when it hasn’t. If it were anything BIG all major news outlets would be on it 24/7 with it verified by publicists and other sources including extras if any. Even if the studio is “secretive” about the film they wouldn’t be able to hide someone like her being hurt at all. It seems to me that people running this web site are more into sensationalism, misleading headlines and gossip than anything else to attract readers.

Cineplex Magazine is much better written to be honest but the web site here is useful for movie release dates and contests. The magazine has been in decline for years. I wish Tribute would stick to online and drop the print version. They need to be hiring better writers and do better reporting. The web site is better than most but you have to dump stories like this and making the headlines out to be more important than they are to garner reader’s attention.

Actually, J.D., the headline says nothing but the truth. If you read more into it, then blame yourself. The tweet didn’t say she was fine. It said she was hurt, but nothing “scary.” Still, three days of holding filming up means it wasn’t small either, they lose a lot of money each day that filming is put on hold.

And fyi, web designers don’t write headlines.

I don’t know what’s this movie “Snow White and the Huntsman” is about but honestly, Snow White fighting in a Knights battle dressed as a Knight. I guess hollywood is running out of good ideas for movie stories. Am I to guess that the 7 dwarfs will also be dressed as Knights

I’m agreeing with J.D..a little misleading and most topics written from Tribute lean towards gossip and rumours. Yes their site is nice, and their show-times and dates are very much handy but when it comes to stories..they seem so juvenile.

No one is wrong Andrea, everyone is entitled to an opinion.

    +1 J.D

Not that it matters but I’m right about the web designer/webmaster picking the headline. This person in the past and may still be (Alexandra Heilbron) makes all those decisions and edits, designs this site. It’s on the masthead of the magazine whereas with print the editor Toni-Marie Ipolitio (at last read) picks the magazine pieces and the copy-editors and or page designers pick the heading. That’s how it is in most newsrooms. It’s one person writing the headlines on the website and slanting them. That’s the point I’m making that they are misleading and grab your attention to something not as important as they would make you think.

As for Kristen Stewart one of these days she may surprise us but for now the only thing she could get injured for is straining a muscle while trying to act. The way those Twilight movies keep coming out six months one would think by her delivery that she were reading cue cards done on the fly by the screenwriter 😉 Relax, it’s a joke.

She’d be better at playing a zombie as opposed to a vampire. An undead that doesn’t speak is right up her alley.

She tried to smile and broke her face. 🙂

Not that it matters but you’re wrong again, J.D. about the web designer picking the headline. I’ve got the latest issue of Tribute in front of me and the masthead says Alexandra Heilbron is the editor of Tribute.ca. The webmaster is Paul Lim and the designer is Aaron Marcovitch. But designers don’t pick headlines, why would they? They’re artists, not writers. If you’ve ever been in a news room you’d know that writers submit headlines, editors often change them and the publisher has the last word on what the headline is and will give the final approval.

    I like her myself…tough room.

She broke her hand, there’s pictures of her at Los Angeles LAX airport with a cast on her right hand. She’s taking time off from Snow White to promote Breaking Dawn. Mystery solved. No idea why the producers wanted to hide the fact that she broke her hand though. That’s kinda weird.
