According to a post on his Facebook page, Adam is “so excited” to work with Kristen. The Bridesmaids star will join the original Anchorman cast, which includes Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner. Applegate took to Twitter to express her excitement: “So excited Kristen Wiig has joined our cast for anchorman2. Going 2 b best movie ever made. Besides the best movies ever made.” As for the film’s plot, Carrell noted in an interview with CNN that he anticipates more of the same comedy that made the first film so successful: “I think it’s such a great ensemble piece that I would hope that our roles are the same as they were the first time around,” Carell said. “The storyline is going to be different, but I hope the people in it are exactly the same.” Anchorman 2 is set to be released on December 20, just in time for Christmas. ~Brittnee Fleming

Pretty sure she’s 39, turning 40 this year. So not 30, although she looks fantastic for her age!

I am sooo excited for this film. The first one has so manay memorable idiotic great moments it just needs to be taken for what it was meant for. Over the top chauvenistic late 70’s early 80’s awesomeness. I hope the sequel is just as good.
