Kristen Wiig teams up with Will Ferrell in ‘Welcome to Me’

The last time we saw Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell together was at the Golden Globes as they presented the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy with a rather amusing sketch-comedy bit. Wiig also recently signed on to star in the Anchorman sequel, starring Ferrell as Ron Burgundy. The comedy duo will also be working together in Welcome to Me, an indie comedy produced by Ferrell about “a woman with dissociative personality disorder who wins the lottery and decides to spend her winnings on a cable access talk show about her life.” Also producing the film is Anchorman director Adam McKay, and directing is his wife, Shira Piven. It’s unknown whether Ferrell will make an appearance in the film or not, and the release date is still to be determined. In the meantime, Wiig will be in a number
of movies this year, including providing the voice of Lucy in the animated sequel Despicable Me 2 and starring in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty alongside Ben Stiller. Besides the highly anticipated sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, which hits theaters December 20, Ferrell will star in Three Mississippi and provide a voice in the upcoming LEGO movie . ~E.Guevarra

I didn’t find their comedy skit at the Golden Globes THAT funny. But I’m sure they would produce something hilarious for Anchorman and Welcome to Me
