Lady Gaga to march in Rome’s gay pride parade

By Alexandra Heilbron on June 7, 2011 | 8 Comments

Lady Gaga has accepted an invite to march in Rome’s Circus Maximus gay pride parade on June 11th for the closing event of EuroPride 2011. U.S. Ambassador to Italy David Thorne said in a statement today he is “very proud to have an Italian-American artist of her stature” appear in the Italian capital. Gaga was  invited by Thorne and the organizers of EuroPride, which takes place each year in a different European city. It was also announced today that her album, Born This Way, has been banned in Lebanon. Lebanese officials intercepted shipments at Beirut’s international airport late last week after the album was deemed potentially offensive. Ironically, the album’s title song, which promotes acceptance of one’s self no matter what your inclinations, includes “You’re Lebanese” in the lyrics. Born this Way debuted at No. 1 in over 20 countries around the world.

Not a big fan of her music or crazy outfits, although I do like her look (maybe it was the pic chosen for this article that swayed my opinion).

I don’t know why she wears those nasty outfits, she knows she’s not hot, yet she flaunts her crotch. No one wants to see that Gaga! start wearing some pants, you’re nasty!

I love her music, but not her outfits or her performances.

She is strange but at least she is trying to promote individualism and acceptance. I guess that’s good. Otherwise she is messed up. I am curious about her though :)..yeah maybe it’s the outfit.

I have mixed feelings about Gaga. I like some of her music, but I can’t stand watching her being interviewed (I can’t stand the sound of her voice) and she’s too far out there for me. Not a fan of the crazy outfits either, some are just stupid looking and way too wacko. I get that people like to express themselves, but I really do believe she is just using that as an excuse to push the envelope for reaction. Bottom line, she just wants the extra attention it brings. It’s all just a little too weird.
