Pop queen Lady Gaga revealed last week that for the shows left in her Born This Way Ball tour, which began in April 2012, she will provide free mental health counseling and therapy services via the Lady Gaga BornBrave Tour Bus pre-show. At different pit stops on the tour, professionals will be on hand to help fans who are struggling with bullying, depression and any other mental health issues they may be experiencing in their own lives. “At the BornBrave Bus you have access to professional private or group chats about mental health, depression, bullying, school & friends. There will also be food and games, DJ White Shadow and Lady Starlight will DJ with host BREEDLOVE to keep the experience fun,[sic]” the singer posted on Facebook. “BornBrave Bus Is a place where mental health + depression are taken seriously w/ no judgment, FREE real help available to all. I feel like most kids don’t look for help because they feel embarrassed so mom + I wanted to break the stigmas around ‘help’ and make it fun.[sic]” The free pre-show service is to help promote Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, which works to empower youth and provide them with the skills and tools they need to create a more accepting society.
