Lauren Conrad cries all the way to the bank

With her best friends unable to live together, her enemies threatening to crash every party she attends, and her boyfriends opting for other girls, The Hills star, Lauren Conrad, just may have one more thing to cry about. The 22-year-old “reality” star reportedly caused a fight among cast members after In Touch Weekly released the earnings of each star. For every mascara-running, tear-filled, if-looks-could-kill episode, Conrad takes home a reported $75,000, while her co-stars make substantially less. Heidi Montag and boyfriend Spencer Pratt rake in $65,000 per episode, while Audrina Patridge makes do with $35,000, and Whitney Pope manages with $20,000. “The salaries are based on who people care about watching more,” says an insider. “If you bring drama, you’ll get more money.” Who ever thought fighting with your friends could make you rich?

this is f****** absurd. they get that for what? acting or not acting, being real or being scripted. its so faustian – like making a deal with the devil, surrendering your soul in exchange for something. in this case its private life for $$$.
