Lea Michele opens up about Cory Monteith

Lea Michele, 27, has taken to Twitter to break her silence over the loss of her Glee co-star and boyfriend, Cory Monteith. Speaking out for the first time since Monteith’s death of drug and alcohol toxicity on July 13, the actress acknowledged how grateful she was for the well-wishes she received from fans. Along with a private photo of the couple at a beach, Michele tweeted: “Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart.”

Last Thursday, Michele joined her Glee cast and crew at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles to pay tribute to the 31-year-old Canadian actor. “Today, Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele gathered the cast, crew and producers of Glee, along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith,” a statement by 20th Century Fox Television read. “We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time.” ~Alfonso Espina
