Leona Lewis punched in face by fan

Singer Leona Lewis was signing copies of her autobiography, Dreams, at a London bookstore yesterday when a man who’d been waiting five hours in line had his book signed, then punched the singer in the face when she looked up. Onlookers told the BBC that there was no provokation for the attack. An eyewitness said: “She was running out with her hand over her eye and I just saw a man on the floor. Suddenly the security all jumped on him and they were trying to pull him out and he was just laughing, he thought it was funny.” Lewis’s spokesman stated: “The police were called immediately and medical attention has been sought. Leona’s understandably badly shaken and apologizes to the fans she was unable to meet.”

And I wouldn’t usually wish this on anyone, but I wouldn’t exactly be bothered if some random, unprovoked stranger came up to you and you were “knocked the F*&k out”. Karma is a B*tch!

I read that the guy was 6’5″ and yelled to her that he loved her. Nothing says love like a complete whacko stranger punching you in the face! She has enough body guards that this incident should never have gone this far.
its disgusting that people can no longer feel safe ANYWHERE in the world. people like this should be beaten and see how they like it. i dont think he would have found the humor in some random person punching him in the face. why would he get in a line and wait for 5 hours to do that? i really like leona lewis. i hope shes ok and this doesnt discourage her from meeting with fans/signing things for them next time.
Abuse is abuse… and once again there are those who think abusing another human being is OK.
If this creep thought punching someone in the face was a great way to show his love, imagine what he would do to someone when he is angry or he didn’t get his way.
I’d sure not want my daughter or anyone else anywhere near a creep like that!

I think he was a contestant on Britain’s Got Talent or whatever that show is called that she won. She beat him (on the show)…so, I guess he wanted to ‘beat’ her too. He needs serious help and she needs more security. This could have been alot worse.
Yes, Nancy she won fair and square. The normal reaction like a Lot of people Do is congradulate her/him or anyone else! If most people congradulate others by bunching People in the face there would be a Lot of angry and hurt people!! I watched America’s Got Talent and a Lot of People that competed lost to other contestents and all they did was Smile at them and wished them Well and was happy for them! What I’ve always wanted to say was: he should have Concentrated on Doing Better whatever Talent he had and took more Time to Develop that more and more; then and only then he Might have won. What if someone else had won? The purpose of these contests are to win Fairly and win like a integrity filled man/woman would do. With Character and Dignity.

This is scary. What a creep. I wonder what other things he has done in his life. As much as I can’t stand Martha Stewart, I still can’t believe she spent time in jail and people like this are free to run the streets. The world is backwards.
