Leonardo DiCaprio revealed his reason for keeping out of the limelight since he achieved worldwide celebrity in Titanic — he doesn’t want the paparazzi to profit from his status, calling their behavior “disrespectful and dangerous.” He explains: “The mere fact that these, I’ll use the word ‘piles’, are earning money from exploiting my image is the only reason I hide myself or am not a photo-friendly person. I do not like the way they conduct themselves. I think they’re disrespectful and dangerous. The reason I don’t pose or smile or that I seem mad is that I don’t want them to make a living off my private life. I’m not in the tabloids anymore. I am sometimes, but I’ve watched the culture change. I’m old hat. And I love it.”
»Very intersting article this one.Interesting,indeed. I know what Leo is saying here…
Hmpf.. and here I thought it was because he had bad teeth.
power to him!!
He won’t smile for the camera and “he doesn’t want the paparazzi to profit from his status”………so what does he do? He sits beside ‘pretty-boy’ (Zac Efron) at the Lakers game…?????
Yeah, but he’s like anybody else, wants to hang out with friends, do things he enjoys.
Oh, okay, NOW I understand why I don’t care about Leonardo DiCaprio — it’s because he doesn’t SMILE. I’ve been wondering what it was.
Respect!
Leo has a Beautiful smile! i’ve missed it, but it’s a fair enough reason. He has my respect, as always
