Leonardo DiCaprio‘s niece, Normandie, 6, has been declared abducted by authorities following her father Adam Farrar’s arrest in Texas last Friday. Adam is Leonardo’s stepbrother – the two grew up together. Adam was picked up on outstanding warrants for drug possession, theft and telephone harassment. The Los Angeles Police Department believes a family member kidnapped the young girl, who hasn’t been seen since Saturday. Adam’s girlfriend, Charity Moore, who is the little girl’s mother, was arrested five days before Adam on several charges, including possession of a dangerous drug, theft and a misdemeanor involving a parent contributing to the child’s failure to attend school.
“Adam and Charity have been hiding with Normandie in Texas, desperately avoiding the Department of Justice,” a family friend told RadarOnline.com. However, with both parents now locked up, Normandie’s whereabouts are currently unknown. Leo’s relationship with his stepbrother deteriorated after his career skyrocketed following the release of Titanic and his subsequent success. Adam’s acting career began at the age of seven and Leo, three years younger, was inspired by Adam to go into acting himself. After a handful of TV appearances on shows such as Galactica 1980 and Quincy M.E., his career fizzled. The two boys were raised together in Los Angeles after Adam’s mother married Leo’s father. ~Yara Matar
