Less drama on Grey’s set

Patrick Dempsey at the Enchanted premierePatrick Dempsey, who plays surgeon Dr. Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy, tells Sun Media that the working atmosphere on the set has improved since Isaiah Washington was fired for homophobic slurs. “There’s a much better mood on the set … I think (creator and executive producer Shondra Rhimes) is really finding her way trying to balance out the two shows [Grey’s and its spin-off, Private Practice],” he explains. “We find her to be much more receptive this season. She’s looking for more feedback from people than she had in the past.” Dempsey also talks about the romance between his character and Meredith Grey: “I think we’ve become really stagnant in the relationship. I’m tired of going back over and over and playing the same beat again.”
