Lindsay Lohan excludes herself from Emmys

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan is taking her cues from TV veteran Katherine Heigl by bowing out of the Emmy race, despite having made a guest appearance on the season finale of Ugly Betty. Lohan believes that by not including herself in the nominations for this year, her chances for next year, when she is scheduled to appear in five episodes of the hit show, will be increased. “The appearance was brief,” a rep for the actress told the Los Angeles Times. “We made a decision to wait.” Lohan’s much hyped-about role next year as a down-on-her-luck high school pal of Betty’s is just one sign that Lohan is taking her sobriety seriously. “We had a table reading just the other day, and she was great,” co-star Creed Bratton told Us Weekly. “She was very charming.”

Just about every Emmy is given for one appearance, whether it’s a guest appearance (check the categories) or for regulars on a series, for their work in one particular episode.

I think she did the right the thing…and it does sound like shes getting her life back on track…maybe next season she will deserve an award for her appearances on the show….

I really don’t think she would have won anyways….even Britney would beat her.

I just hope that this does not become a trend. After all I feel these awards should be judged with everyone in the running and may the best win.
