Well, this is a pairing no one could have seen coming. Tabloid fixture and occasional-actress Lindsay Lohan was spotted having dinner with Woody Allen Saturday night. The twosome hit up Manhatten eatery, Philippe, where they were photographed having a pleasant dinner. With Allen married and Lohan still linked to ex-girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, it’s unlikely their meeting had any romantic intentions but it’s possible this was the start of a future working relationship. Should he agree to work with her, a Woody Allen film could be just the thing to turn Lohan’s career around. His last film, Midnight in Paris, was nominated for an Oscar and Allen’s former muse, Scarlett Johansson (who starred in Match Point and Vicky Christina Barcelona), just had an exceptional week at the box office. Since putting her legal troubles behind her, Lohan has tried valiantly to get her career back on track from posing for Playboy to guest starring on Glee. Up next for her is a starring role in the Lifetime Original Movie, Liz and Dick, in which she’ll play Hollywood icon, Elizabeth Taylor. ~Kyle Sharp
