Lindsay Lohan surprise Jay Leno appearance gets standing ovation

Lindsay Lohan made a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night. The talk show host, who’s known for being “soft” on guests, asked Lindsay about some touchy subjects, including her court appearances, jail sentence and her family. She told Leno she was shocked when she was sentenced to 120 days in jail for violating her probation by taking a designer necklace from a high-end jewelry store. He asked her, “At what point did you realize, ‘Oh my God, I could lose this, this could slip away from me?'” Lindsay replied: “I think that… being young and being in the position I was in, you don’t really take the time to appreciate what you have and it’s all kind of a whirlwind, and people make decisions for you. But I’m not a kid anymore — I’m 24, I’ve made a lot of mistakes and I recognize that. I’m in the clear now, and as long as I stay focused, I can achieve what I want to achieve.” Lindsay’s taped appearance will air on tonight’s show.

    Well played Lindsay, well played.

If her goal is to continue to appear in court and eventually land in jail then she is doing a spot on job of achieving her goals. Aside from that I question if she had truly had the time needed to appropriately reflect on what she has done and what she needs to do to move past where she is at now and better herself.

Keep doing nudity and the roles will be coming. That’s what Heather Graham did to get roles.

After turning 18 she was not a kid anymore. She knows right from wrong, stealing and drugs and drinking and driving is wrong.

Her familys totally screwed up, no wonder she is. She’s their meal ticket to fame.

C-Dub on April 26, 2011 8:59 PM i agree with you to a point. some people take longer to grow up when they are left without parents that are willing to teach them right from wrong and how to properly behave like an adult. everyone makes mistakes, but unless you were raised that stealing is wrong and drinking and driving is wrong, youre not going to see anything wrong with copying the type of behaviour you grew up with. lindsays family doesnt seem to be that stable, perhaps they are the reason she is so screwed up.

She hasn’t grown up because she keeps getting away with bad behaviour. Why does she keep getting second and third chances? Why is Leno having her on his show, ratings I guess.

There’s only so long you can blame your family for your mistakes; at some point you have to start making some intelligent choices.

i think it really depends on how bad they screwed you up. i personally feel people should be given as many chances as it takes to make things right, as long as it isnt physically harming someone else. some people take a lot longer to heal after having a bad life and turn to self destructive ways because they have no one to turn to, no one to talk to, no one to help them. its hard trying to turn things around on your own, and most people will take the easy, self destructive way out.

I have to agree with J. here, you can only blame the parents for so long, no matter how bad they were. After a while you are responsible for your own actions. And as long as the courts keep letting her get away with stuff like this, or just giving her a slap on the wrist, the longer it will take her to accept responsibility for her own actions.

i agree that she should have spent the proper amount of time in prison, or at least in rehab! someone needs to give this girl some guidance and someone needs to be a proper role model for her. i hope she pulls herself out of this mess before its too late, id hate to see her go the way brad renfro (and others like him) did. such talent gone to waste.
