Lohan says stash not hers

By Alexandra Heilbron on July 26, 2007 | 57 Comments

Lindsay Lohan mug shotLindsay Lohan, who refuses to accept responsibility for her actions, insists the cocaine found in her pants’ pocket when she was arrested for driving under the influence, is not hers—in fact, she claims to have been wearing someone else’s pants! She also claims she was being chased by her assistant Tarin’s mom (Tarin’s mom, who called 911 that night, says Lohan was chasing her). Now Lohan’s uncle, Chris Sullivan, is piping up with a similar tune, telling the New York Post that Lindsay “may not have been driving the car.” Does the word “denial” spring to mind?

    shut up lilo.
you did it just own up to it.
    this is digusting

  2. MD • July 26, 2007 @ 12:43 PM

This is ridiculous. She’s what 20-21 years old. GROW UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS!

  3. silentbob • July 26, 2007 @ 3:20 PM

You just got out of rehab, and you are already in trouble agine. Jail Time. Have Fun In A Cell.

  4. AV • July 26, 2007 @ 5:08 PM

next thing you know she is going to be saying that she thought she was drinking water and not vodka..

  5. buddha • July 26, 2007 @ 5:56 PM

i do the only thing i can in this situation. when these overpaid actors WASTE their cash on booze and drugs, well, time to boycott any movie she does. if everyone did that, hollywood will soon get the message, and these morons will straighten up their act. i feel sorry for the other actors in the film, it might not even be a bad flick, but i’ll never know, because im not paying her salary to use drugs. the film flops because people are tired of the crap and stop going to see the movies, other actors suffer for it. lets see her flip burgers or work in a warehouse for 20 grand a year, instead of millions for a few months work. welcome to the real world toots. join the rest of us in working for a living.

  6. Amanda • July 26, 2007 @ 8:11 PM

She’s just ridiculous. Not her pants? Yeah right. Then again, maybe she just was so drunk that she didn’t realize she was stealing someone else’s pants. But then that brings up the DUI. either way you look at it, she’s a selfish, irresponsible, poor excuse for a human being. I hope they put her in jail. What if she had killed someone?

  7. Bernie • July 26, 2007 @ 8:54 PM

Someone framed Li-Lo by switching pants with her when she wasn’t looking?!?! That’s a HORRIBLE thing to do to another person, especially when said person is a superstar actress and the press are going to seize on every opportunity to ruin a career. Fortunately she’ll have the best attorneys to put this injustice right.

  8. Jerry Hallway • July 26, 2007 @ 8:58 PM

Even though Lindsay will be vindicated, this still represents a new low in career sabotage.

  9. Diane Dunbar • July 27, 2007 @ 8:39 AM

As they say, if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime. Off to jail you go. I do hope you get your life together, your way to young to be this screwed up!

  10. Bill • July 27, 2007 @ 9:07 AM

I just don’t know why everyone is so excited about this. Who here hasn’t been caught wearing someone else’s pants with a stash of cocaine in the pocket? And the results of the DUI is a direct complication from over-zealous gargling with mouthwash. See? All is better. Now she can get back to her surreal overly-pampered life.
Maybe we should replace the Mercedes star on her hood to a cross-hairs.

  11. Anonymous • July 27, 2007 @ 9:17 AM

lidsay lohans new film I know who killed me should be retitled I KNOW who killed my career

  12. John • July 27, 2007 @ 9:43 AM

Another young actress blowing up and flipping out……….is anyone surprised? Making money hand over fist for a flipping movie does not mean: a)you are a good person. b) you have life skills to know how to be a role model. c)other than good looks you have any skill sets that would get you a real job, you know, one where you have to really work for a living.

  13. Joanne Lyon • July 27, 2007 @ 9:59 AM

yes she should be punish like anyone else who commits this crime. Maybe it will straighten her out.

  14. jeff • July 27, 2007 @ 10:51 AM

Let’s face the fact that we’re talking about a drug addict. She does’nt care who see’s what or hear’s what, until she hits bottom she won’t know how to tell the truth. As far as jail time goes,if convicted she should get the same as we would get.

  15. Patty • July 27, 2007 @ 11:04 AM

Paris Hilton changed after beeing in Jail…he he he! Ridiculous !! So it’s little red riding hair’s turn now right?.. Are jails are also “Full” this time as well?or afraid she may also suffer a meltdown for being locked in a cell with your mirror?. Give us a break hollywood! There’s enough people dying in the world, suffering, hungry, etc. Shouldn’t the press be using the money for helping them instead of worrying about another crazy f…. kid who doesn’t know what to do with her millions but waste it on stealing somebody else’s pants that actually fitted really good on her? (Good eye Lindsay)
C’mon….DUI is Irresponsable and dangerous but Cocaine is ilegal so JAIL is the answer here or am I the only one not seeing this?

  16. Marilyn • July 27, 2007 @ 11:10 AM

If this was me I would have to paid, and so should she.

  17. Anonymous • July 27, 2007 @ 11:30 AM

Good job Patty! I agree that this is getting too much press coverage, money should be spent on better things. She should either get it together or go to jail.

  18. Betty • July 27, 2007 @ 11:44 AM

It’s time Lindsay Lohan became responsible for her actions. It would be great if Lindsay could spend enough time in jail to get clean and straighten up her act, before she actually hurts herself or some innocent person. Can you imagine the ordinary person getting away with what she has? Not likely, nor should they. Let’s hope she gets some real help before she kills someone. By the way, we know where her father is, but where is her Mother?

  19. Anonymous • July 27, 2007 @ 11:46 AM

My 9 year old daughter enjoys watching Lindsay’s movies and today she asked me what is COCAINE? To me, that’s an INSULT, worse than any other F… world, so should I thanks newspapers and TV for sending us this messages? or all those rich people who don’t know what 2 do with sooooooooooo much money?
Please STOP with the reality shows and get back to something we all care about, like the Simpsons making a movie ! JA !

  20. pete • July 27, 2007 @ 11:55 AM

If she were smart, she’d also deny being in that stupid-looking new movie of hers.

  21. Edith • July 27, 2007 @ 1:04 PM

WHAT HAPPENED TO NOT JUDGING PEOPLE. YOU KNOW WHAT, WE ALL HAVE PROBLEMS, SOME MORE THAN OTHERS. I JUST HOPE THAT SHE FINDS GOD BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE. I’LL PRAY FOR HER TONIGHT BECAUSE I KNOW BETTER THAN TO CONDEMN SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE THEY SCREW UP. DO YOU ALL THINK THAT YOU ARE BETTER THAN HER? GET REAL.

  22. scott • July 27, 2007 @ 1:36 PM

the first step is admitting that there is a problem…….. looks like she’s got to sink a little lower yet.

  23. jim • July 27, 2007 @ 2:57 PM

you did it go to jail if i did it i would be in jail get help you are a good singer your in wit a bad people find some good friends they are not frend who let you get in the car like that

  24. DM • July 27, 2007 @ 3:46 PM

She just needs some good help…………

  25. Lindsey • July 27, 2007 @ 3:48 PM

    This is what I think,
If she goes to jail, which I think is best, she could turn out better like Paris Hilton.
And besides, you did it so own up to it.
Just because you’re rich doesn’t mean oh “look at me I can afford drugs and alcohol.” I used to think you were so cool.
But now you’re ending up like all those other wanna-be-role-models.
    Lindz

  26. Jenn • July 27, 2007 @ 4:51 PM

oh common instead of puttin lindsay lohan in jail why dont you put more time and effort into putting rapist and murders behind bars like god nows how many rapist are walking the streets free as can be to prey on more innocent victums and everyone is worried about a little bit of cocain in lindsay lohans pocket like come on now…and you rock lindsay and hopefully you beats them charges

  27. zdf • July 27, 2007 @ 5:26 PM

she is such a loser. i mean how many times has she been arrested, caught drunk and been stoned???

    Will she ever learn

  28. Mary • July 27, 2007 @ 6:00 PM

will it never end. I am sick of hearing about these party girls and their drunken antics eg: Paris, Lindsay,Britney. will it never end I don’t think so. Do they deserve second chances everybody does. These three just keep on going though and making the same mistakes over and over again, these are the stories that sell magazines so unless we boycott them we’ll read and hear about them.Personally I would rather read about the beautiful GOOD GIRLS. Their the ones on Tributes July?August issue. Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Julia Stiles and gorgeous Catherine Zeta Jones. These gals have class.

  29. Shazam Says!!!! • July 27, 2007 @ 7:48 PM

    Jim,

She is not a singer, and evidently you are not a writer. But there’s more to life than other people’s problems, and your lack of punctuation and total disregard for the English language, correct?

  30. Anonymous • July 27, 2007 @ 8:46 PM

    Shaza Says!!!!,

Lindsay is a singer, good or not. Were you not around when either of her two albums were released? She’s also sung a few songs for the soundtracks of other movies she’s been in. If you’re going to correct someone’s facts you should at least know what you are talking about. Deal? Good.

She should be punished like anyone else would be. I hope she can overcome this.

  33. josh • July 27, 2007 @ 9:47 PM

what a crock this girl is she should get jail time for the drugs and not just 23 days like some other blond bimbo’s do the bracelet is obviously not doing any good. but of course nothing will happen because she did make one point that is unfortunately clear she is a celebrity and apparently they are above the law because the common person would never be able to get away with what they do. so grow up already Lindsay you are the butt of every joke in hollywood and you deserve everything they throw at you

  34. Anonymous • July 27, 2007 @ 10:28 PM

Though I do not agree with what lindsey is doing, I am very concerned that more people are angry at lindsey than there were at paris…..

  35. Anonymous • July 28, 2007 @ 12:19 AM

Good on me there were only friends and family to answer to versus the entire world via internet when I was in my early 20’s!
Yes, she’s made some irresponsible decisions. So have we all, outside of media coverage?

  36. Yawnie • July 28, 2007 @ 12:46 AM

Come on. The only ones who know the whole story are her and the headline seeking hangers-on that want their piece of the pie.
How is it that she had over the limit of alcohol in her system and the bracelet didn’t buzz? Anyway, 21 years old, take the punishment if you did the deed, but if you didn’t it’s not up to everyone else to point fingers based on past actions. And you ALL have been there before, and/or probably will be at some point in your life.
Live & let live, but leave it alone. You’re only giving her the attention you CLAIM you don’t/won’t give her.

  37. Honest Phil • July 28, 2007 @ 2:53 AM

Hopefully this will teach her to keep her pants on.

  38. LAUREL • July 28, 2007 @ 6:09 AM

It’s a shame this spoiled brat has the world by the balls and would prefer to screw it away she’ll be dead by the time she’s 35. (sound familar) and she’d better do time if that was anybody else the key would be already thrown away. when her family has to bury her they’ll all say what did do wrong? idiots!

  39. LAUREL • July 28, 2007 @ 6:17 AM

o what ever happened to the policy of rehabs that “you waste thier time they shut the door in your face” guess it’s a hole different system for rich

  40. Lizclouston • July 28, 2007 @ 9:34 AM

I’m a fan of lindsay and I love her movies but its no excuse for what she did.I can’t believe that she is denying that they are not her pants.Right.Smarten up Lindsay and get your act together. What do u honestly think that by you getting drunk and doing drugs is going to get you anywhere.I don’t think so.Look at paris hilton. She did jail time why should you get away with it.Now if that was just some other person that was not famous. They would get arrested and put in jail.Lindsay just because you got lots of money and the fact that you are famous does’nt give you the right to get away with what ever you do.

  41. John • July 28, 2007 @ 12:34 PM

She broke the law . She was caught DUI and had Cocaine on her person, Thus she had possession and that is unlawful.
She should lose her licence for at least 5 Years and get as the law states is the minimum for the Cocaine AND NOT IN A FRILLY STARLITE PRISON BUT IN A REAL JAIL.

ALSO THE COURT SHOULD SEND HER TO A STATE RUN DRY OUT CENTRE NOT TO HER FAVOURITE HOLIDAY CAMP THAT HAS DAY PASSES

  42. Anonymous • July 28, 2007 @ 4:19 PM

To Edith – get your head out of your Bible. This girl (Lindsay) is just lucky she hasn’t killed somebody by now. Are we all suppose to sympathize with the poor little rich girl because you say we shouldn’t judge people? How many times are we supposed to allow her to get away will this behaviour by doing a stint in rehab? Judge her we will. Any other poor schmuck (a.k.a. unknown, non-“celebrity” person) would probably be in jail for repeat offences but she gets off because of her “celebrity”.

And just what kind of rehab counselling is she getting if she can’t even stay clean for a couple of weeks. Maybe it’s time to investigate that centre she stayed at and question the credentials of the people who run the joint. Other than taking her money for nothing, exactly what have they done that’s helped Lindsay? Now THAT is criminal.

    Li-Lo’s new movie is GREAT!

  44. Shazam Says!!!! • July 28, 2007 @ 6:19 PM

Give me a break!! You all claim to not care so much and don’t want to give it any attention. Well, negative attention is attention nonetheless. Everyone is calling her Li-Lo, obviously buying into that media nickname, fueling the tabloid fires and making Li-Lo(See, it’s happening to me now!!)a very rich little girl.
Any publicity is good publicity, especially in today’s tabloid-affixed world.
Good luck to you all, you’ll need it!!

  46. Nancy • July 29, 2007 @ 11:51 PM

Shazam! You have written on this 6 times! Way to talk about giving her attention!!! Bible thumper Edith, if you’re praying for Lindsey and her friends( Paris, Nicole and Britney), that is a 24 hour a day job. How many chances do you think they should be given? I mean, it’s not like they cannot afford a cab right? Drinking….none of my business. Drugs…..her problem. Getting behind the wheel of a motorized vehicle while under the influence of drugs and alcohol……not once, not twice, but several times…….everyones problem. Yes. I know I am better than her. I don’t take drugs, and when I drink I only have a couple, and either drink at home or take a cab or DD. I do not believe in .08, drinking and driving is what it is. I am a responsible, single parent of two children, and definitely do not take life for granted. I don’t get drunk because my kids need me, I’m all they have and they don’t deserve to see anyone, especially me, passed out like the recent pictures of Lindsey!

  47. Nancy • July 29, 2007 @ 11:54 PM

Possession is 9/10ths of the law Lindsey!!!

  48. Anonymous • July 30, 2007 @ 1:47 AM

Lindsay Lohan shouldn’t get special treatment since she’s a singer and should go to jail because she commited the accident she should pay the price

  49. Norbit • July 30, 2007 @ 5:03 PM

“Lindsay Lohan shouldnt get special treatment since shes a singer.”

Are you saying that no singer should get special treatment or just not Lindsay?

  50. Anonymous • July 31, 2007 @ 5:48 PM

She needs to grow up and take responsibility for her immature actions. That story is a really bad excuse. So what if she was wearing someone else’s pants? She still had possession of cocaine! If she claims she didn’t know it was in the pocket… how do you NOT notice a bag of cocaine in the pocket of jeans? Seriously, give it up, and grow up.

  51. Anonymous • August 1, 2007 @ 12:18 PM

What a Loser!!! She looks aweful, I cant believe she is in denile, she needs to be held responsible for her actions, and maybe a couple months in the slammer will do her good!!

  52. George • August 1, 2007 @ 1:06 PM

Of course she should go to jail – why do we even have to debate the subject? The law is the law, and she broke it. Celebrities shouldn’t be exempt from following the law, and it’s not the first time she’s done something illegal. Let’s remember here that there are innocent people – families, wives and husbands, mothers and fathers, children – driving and walking on the same streets as she is when she’s DUI or high. Let her deal with the consequences of her actions just like anybody else, and hopefully somewhere along the way she’ll show some remorse and straighten her life out.

  53. Ranurgis • August 1, 2007 @ 4:35 PM

It’s really sad that people today, especially the young ones have not decent role models–and I mean that in two ways: appropriate and more refined.

By watching the films of onformed actors and actresses who do really stupid, if not criminal acts, our young people can only learn from these people. Our so-called heroes nowadays are far from being heroes and heroines. The are just overpaid juveniles in their 20s, 30s and older who have no sense of responsibility, no respect for others or even themselves and totally lost as to what is decent and makes a person heroic. Let’s not confuse heroism with being famous.

And let’s make some films that show young and older people some moral values and how to resolve conflicts without fighting or shooting someone.

How about finding those films that do portray a responsible lifestyle. Surely there must be some out there.

Lindsay Lohan and others like her are not solely responsible for their bad behaviour. For years we have tolerated irresponsible acts from high-paid actors and sports stars. If necessary, a boycott may be in order to get our message across that “we won’t take it anymore.”

  54. Shazam Says!!!! • August 4, 2007 @ 5:58 PM

    HEy Nancy,

I didn’t say that I was not going to give it attention, I was just commenting on others’ comments regarding giving it attention. So turn your attention back to your kids, because you will need to soon enough, seeing you are on the computer and as we all know, people who throw stones at others will raise kids that are just like Li-Lo.Just like you. Your kids will be so sick of your near-perfection that they will be the ones on the front pages of the crime section when they grow up. So just watch your lips when they flap in the wind, as you may run over them!!

  55. deborah stalker • August 5, 2007 @ 11:05 PM

yes, send her to jail for impaired. if it were you are i, they’d put us in jail. just because she has money, doesn’t mean she should avoid jailtime for a wrong she’s committed……..

  56. Sarah • May 30, 2008 @ 2:13 PM

  57. Nancy • July 11, 2008 @ 12:12 AM

Bite me, Shazam! You know nothing about raising kids, obviously!
