Lohan serves 84 minutes in jail

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan, who was sentenced to spend one day in jail for the serious crimes of drunk driving and cocaine possession, got out after serving a measly 84 minutes. The two-time offender turned herself in yesterday at 10:30 a.m. to the Los Angeles County Women’s Detention Center in Lynwood, where Paris Hilton spent 23 days on lesser charges earlier this year. Lohan didn’t even have to change into the customary orange jumpsuit, but was allowed to keep her street clothes on while being searched, fingerprinted and placed in a holding cell. She was released at 11:54 a.m., due to “jail overcrowding.” Guess Lohan was right when shortly before being arrested, she reportedly told a passenger in the car she was driving, “I can’t get in trouble. I’m a celebrity. I can do whatever the f**k I want.”

So unlike everyone else, “Celebrity = Get out of jail free card”. So what? They have to kill some one before they get in trouble? Sick.

I don’t think they would get into trouble even if they did kill someone!! I bet these judges and prison wardens are really bulking up their retirement funds by letting these celebrities off the hook with LESS than a slap on the hand. No wonder why the tabloids are saying Lindsay is broke……this must have cost her big time!!!

Released after 84 minutes due to ‘jail overcrowding’…..

They obviously never planned on keeping her at all, because if they would have, she would have been wearing the mandatory orange jumpsuit!! Also, if it were a true case of overcrowding, I am sure there is someone else in this jail who is a few days away from finishing serving their time for their crime who could have been released a few days early, and also have done the fair share of their punishment, wouldn’t you agree?????
Someone obviously was paid off to release her!!!

So now, I wonder where Lindsay ever got the impression that…she can’t get in trouble. She is a celebrity. She can do whatever the f**k she wants??????? LOL

I’m just relieved the whole sorry nightmare is over. I’m happy for her.

Everybody knows that if you want a celeb to serve one full day in prison, you have to sentence them to at least a month.

I wonder if that was long enough to get her salad tossed?

  7. NIKKI • November 16, 2007 @ 8:55 PM

she should have to spend the same amount of time as every other person in the world. celebrities get everything…money, fame, free things, and when they do something wrong, they don’t get in trouble. They get off after 84 MINUTES!!!!!!! It really ticks me off!!! And then her attitude?!?!? She doesn’t care at all…hasn’t learned a thing. Just wait…two weeks and she’ll do the exact same thing.

    STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!

“celebrities get everythingmoney, fame, free things, and when they do something wrong, they dont get in trouble. They get off after 84 MINUTES!!!!!!!”

Really? It takes them that long?!?!

It says a lot for the judicial system in the United States that repeat offenders with multiple previous charges are released without the slightest inclination of secondary effects.

they get special treatment because they deserve it. we help them get everything they want( just think about all those magazines we buy because paris lindsay and britney are on the cover) then why be so critical when they dont serve three months in jail and instead get out in 84 mins. good for lindsay and im sure she will behave now.. shes so talented i love her.

Drunk driving and cocaine possession are serious crimes. She could have killed someone. She shouldn’t have been released for a long time. I don’t care if the movie ‘Mean Girls’ was really good, or if she’s talented or not, she should serve the same sentence as anyone else who commited similar crimes.
And the attitude that she gave after she got out proved that she wasn’t sorry and didn’t learn.
So, you could give her coodos for getting out of jail because she’s “talented”, but who’s to say that the people she could have killed aren’t?
    grrrrrr

    I find her honesty refreshing.

Wow………it’s amazing what some people get, and even MORE AMAZING what other’s DON’T GET!!!!

I say it’s time to OVERHAUL THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM in this country. I don’t think our FOUNDING FATHERS meant the flipping Constitution to only apply to a SELECT FEW.

Moreso, I don’t think MONEY should dictate whether or not you get a fair freakin’ day in court. If you’re poor in this country and need legal representation, you’re SCREWED!!!

Sideways!! It’s the same here in Canada.

Its so great to be young, rich, beautiful and living in Hollywood…I think she’s a spoiled little girl who is too high on herself. Its ok to be a reckless driver but when it involves other peoples lives, then the law is the law and should be taken seriously. She should have spent the 23 days in Jail and not Paris.
    Stay off the road Lindsay.
