Lost star pleads no contest to DUI charge

Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Jin on the hit ABC-TV series Lost, pleaded no contest to DUI charges stemming from his arrest October 25 in Hawaii, where the show is filmed. At that time, he had an alcohol blood level of 0.168, more than double the legal limit. The judge warned Kim: “It just cannot happen again. It’s simply too dangerous.” He was ordered to pay a fine of $500, had his license revoked for six months, and was told he must perform 72 hours of community service.  Afterwards, Kim told reporters: “I’m just grateful and relieved that this matter has been resolved. It’s been a pretty difficult time for my family and me. But I’m glad I had a chance to take responsibility for my mistake.” Kim is the third Lost star to be arrested for suspicion of DUI. Former castmates Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were also arrested for DUI during their time on the show and strangely enough, their characters were soon killed off. Kim’s character appears as if he may have been killed off, but nothing is certain on the popular series.
