Lovable robot takes on hitmen at box office

Wall-EThe new animated feature, WALL•E, topped the box office this weekend, generating a whopping $62.5 million (all figures US) in revenue. Another new release, Wanted, starring Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy, debuted in second place, grossing $51.1 million. Last weekend’s top box office draw, Get Smart, dropped to third, earning a respectable $20.1 million in its second weekend. Now in its fourth week of release, Kung Fu Panda made an additional $11.7 million in fourth place. The Incredible Hulk rounded out the top five in its third week of release, dropping from third to fourth, and making $9.2 million.

    I saw Wall-E it was sooo cute,Get Smart was freakin’ hilarious, Kung Fu Panda was awesome and Hulk was better than the other one with Eric Bana, and I can’t wait to see Wanted…I love Angelina Jolie….and Morgan Freeman…

    Wall.E was marvelous and in it’s own way as potent a message re: the wakeup call to save our planet as The 11th Hour, An Inconvenient Truth, and Sharkwater. A powerful and timely message delivered in a touching and humourous way — don’t miss this one !! 🙂 🙂 🙂
