Madonna hires divorce lawyer

British website holymoly.co.uk reports that exclusives sources revealed to them that Madonna has hired a divorce lawyer to start divorce proceedings against her husband of eight years, Guy Ritchie. The two have a son together, Rocco, and recently adopted a baby. Madonna also has a daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship. The site claims that Madonna and Ritchie do not have a pre-nup, which means Guy could receive half of Madonna’s fortune in the divorce settlement. Forbes reports she earned $72 million last year alone.
Didn’t they just adopt a son? Wouldn’t they learn from other famous couples to get a pre-nup and protect your money just incase one is more famous than the other and obviously making more money? I must say though 8 years is pretty surprising…for Madonna…
Good for Guy Ritchie! Take that old bat for all she is worth! He deserves it…look at how she tainted his career with all that Kabalah witchcraft.

I hope Guy Ritchie takes that money and makes a sequel to Snatch…that would be the best thing to come of that sleazy thing’s money. Or maybe make a biopic of Madonna’s time with Dennis Rodman…hahaha…that would be good for a laugh!

If the marriage is not working, then end it, but, make it a peaceful and a quiet parting of the ways. Far too many couples make it all too public.
Kids are involved. So what if she has to give him money… the movies he made, with her, were flops…but so is her acting ability. Give him credit for quietly saying in the background.
Divorcing her is probably the smartest thing he’s ever done.
Hey Sergio I say the same about women, I think Heather Mills is a royal gold digger for getting all that money from Paul and she doesn’t deserve a penny of it even if she has a daughter with him, he can take care of his daughter…
Heather Mills deserved every penny she received from Paul and Guy Richie deserves every penny he can get out of Madge! Why, you ask? Because if Paul and Madge are too stupid to get the lawyers that they already have and pay, to draw up a pre-nup and have it signed before they marry, then they shall fork over their fortune!!
Yeah, but Paul really thought it was true love, like what he had with Linda. I really don’t think he ever expected to get taken for a ride like that. With Madge, well, lets face it, no relationship is forever with her, so she should have known she would need a pre-nup.
Sergio, women have been living in poverty for years with the children they were left with by the fathers’who have never paid a cent. There are a lot more women who never got anything than the other way around. We do not all have movie star salaries. Women are paid less than men in any job even though it is 2008.When men finally do pay child support, in a normal world,they think they have been taken to the cleaners.Why should your kids be brought up poor.

Trixie, Don’t use this or anything as an excuse to generalize any situation such as this. It should be judged on a case by case basis, and I think in this case she should pay through her ass because his career has been dead since she strong-armed her way into most of his movies since he’s been with her. Perhaps he can now “SNATCH” back his identity the she “SNATCHED” from him and put in her purse since the day they got together.

Its amazing all this bitching from individuals! What of all the hurt envolved for the pair! I am sure money is a small part and should be easy to sort. Madonna brought great joy to my generation with her music and energy. I persume its a case of women lashing women re: letters on view. I say best of luck to Guy and Madge and I do hope they sort their problems.
