Madonna “the most impolite celebrity”

Singer/songwriter James MorrisonBritish musician James Morrison, who achieved worldwide success with his debut single, “You Give Me Something,” and whose debut album “Undiscovered” sold in excess of 3,500,000 copies, was less than impressed when he met Madonna, calling her “the most impolite celebrity” he’s ever met. “I was recording in a studio in L.A. and she came in to speak to a producer and someone asked if I wanted to meet her,” the London Daily Star quoted him as saying. “I’m not her biggest fan but thought I’d say hello so I went over and said: ‘Hello, I’m James, nice to meet you,” and put my hand out to shake hands. She just looked at it and said: ‘And what do you do?’ I told her I was a singer and she just stared at me and didn’t say anything. It was really uncomfortable. Then she just ignored me,” he said. He added: “F*** her, though, it’s just a matter of common courtesy. It doesn’t matter what someone does for a living. She’s just rude. There’s no excuse for it.” Morrison’s new album, “Songs for You, Truths for Me,” will be released September 29th.

For some reason it`s hardly shocking for me to hear Madonna is a impolite celebrity.I always liked Madonna`s music but I always felt like I could separate someone`s talent from their personal character. So while I always thought Madonna was a talented singer I don`t think I ever liked her as person. Fame and celebrity don`t actually elevate a person above other people,it is said that we`re all created equal but as Madonna is illustrative of there are those who just don`t believe that. But James Morrison is right-no matter what a person does for a living it doesn`t actually mean they`re lesser.

come on, James, and your “F**** her though” speaks volumes about your professionalism and non-rude style. hardly a “Polite” comment.

maybe she was stuck for words, after all she had no idea who you were. Neither do I, by the way.

HA!!! That’s a laugh. Madonna stuck for words??? How hard is it to say, “Nice to meet you too?” It’s the way most people would respond. She was being snotty and rude. Don’t stick up for her – she doesn’t deserve it.

I’ll second that angie! Madge is an old hag….and crankiness comes with old age.

He’s cute. I guess he’s a big success more in Britain that here. And since Madge lives in Britain, that makes her, yes, an old hag who doesn’t even know what’s going on in the country she lives in. Ignorant slut.
