Madonna directorial debut panned

Madonna at the Berlin Film FestivalMadonna‘s debut film as a director, Filth and Wisdom, made its debut at the Berlin Film Festival this week. Though several critics claimed her directorial debut was a substantial improvement over her recent work as an actress, it received many negative reviews, with critics calling it “dumb and tacky,” “amateurish,” and “a turkey.” The review in the British paper The Guardian said: “Madonna has been a terrible actor in many, many films and now — fiercely aspirational as ever — she has graduated to being a terrible director.” The 81-minute film tells the story of a Ukrainian immigrant in London who finances his dreams of becoming a rock star by moonlighting as a cross-dressing dominatrix. Madonna also co-wrote the script. She revealed at a press conference that although she enjoyed the experience, she missed performing, saying: “I do love directing and the experience of it. But that was the one little tiny thing that was missing — that visceral release that you don’t have if you’re not performing. So it was an adjustment for me to work from my neck up.”

Sounds like a LAME movie!…..and if she had been working from her neck up, she may have come up with something a little more interesting and realistic!!

The circle of “artists” is not quite complete. All she needs to do now is change her name to a symbol and get a skin disease that turns her skin black. Then she can be a singer / dancer / children’s book author / adult theme author / actor / director / producer of self – gratification. What religion is she on again??? Guy Ritchie…you should have run when you had the chance. 🙂

Oh yeah, that’s right!! She’s right in there with the psychiatrist….Tom Cruise and all the other scientologists, like John Travolta and Kelly Preston. And the rich get richer….what a freakin’ joke!!!

One question, she has something to offer from the neck up? Must be the skunk line in her hair! Guess it’s time for a visit to the salon sweetheart!

There’s only one thing that Madonna does really well……….so her ex-lovers have said.

oh for heavens sakes, give the woman a break.
If this were a man who make such a bad movie, no one would say anything…but since it’s MADONNA we’re all going to rain on her parade.
So what if the papers said it’s bad – they hate most of the movies out there – who listens to critics anyway?? Go see the movie THEN judge her directorial debut.
At least she follows her dreams….

Funny, I thought she did a HECK of a lot of work from her neck-up in the eighties…..
I heard she found a lot of work (jobs) that entailed her working from the neck-up.
I just don’t buy that crap, and neither did Sean Penn. He’s employed her for many JOBS that required her to work from her “neck-up”. Yup!
Monique, It has nothing to do with gender, it has to do with the individual who is taking work from others who are qualified and could use the work. If you are a singer, then just Fuc@in Sing, darn it!! Stop this, “look at me, I’m the center of attention, I can do it all” bullshit and give the work to real people. Madonna doesn’t even play an instrument(although she likes to wrap a guitar around herself, but she’s wrapped many an instrument around herself in her day….)

Monique: Did you happen to read the article above? Did you read what this, so called, ‘MOVIE’ is about? Can you honestly say, that this sounds like a movie that is worth spending your hard-earned, ass-busting money to go and see?? I would rather flush my $8 down the toilet.

LMFAO!!! Thanks, Poppa John! You “hit the nail on the head”!!!
I agree Nancy, this movie sounds even worse than stupid. She’s a washed up old s1ut, why can’t she just accept it and move on? Enjoy her money and get out of the spotlight.

Sorry, that “idiot” post was directed to someone who had used my name and said something utterly stupid. Thanks tribute, for deleting their post.
