Magazine pulls Wilson interview

Owen WilsonElle magazine has pulled an interview with Owen Wilson conducted earlier this month that was scheduled to appear in the December Hollywood issue. Roberta Myers, Elle’s editor-in-chief, explains, “Obviously the circumstances have changed significantly. When we were to be on the newsstand with the story, it would have been quite dated. Obviously, he’s not going to update it for us. Out of respect for his privacy and anything he is going through, we’re not going to run the piece.”

I think this is an excellent decision. I just hope your reasoning, the fact that the article would be dated, is not based solely on his alleged suicide attempt.

He is extremely talented, his best film by far – Behind Enemy Lines.

I hope he gets himself straightened out and realise what he has going for himself, and how fortunate he really is.

    A Fan.

I agree totally with Nancy (above).

I hope that Mr. Wilson decides to let himself be happy by loving the good people and things around him and letting the negative things go.

I completely agree with Nancy. Owen is an awesome talent, I love everything he has done. I hope he gets well and realizes how fortunate we are to see his movies. It is not always easy to put a smile on peoples faces and he does that with us in every film he does.
Get well soon Owen, we’re pulling for you.

I hope Michael never finds himself in such a state of mind. One should learn to empathize and think before they speak. We can only hope that Mr. Wilson seeks and receives the medical help & support he needs to get well.

A few friends and I talked about what happened to Owen and some asked if I though it would affect his career. In my opinion, I believe Owen seems to be such a good person (you can feel it) that the opposite will happen. I think people feels for him and wants him to get better. Owen is like a little brother to all of us and is loved by more people than he’ll ever imagine… I’m sure. Hope Owen make a full recovery! We love you Owen! Lynn from Quebec!
