Mark Wahlberg’s mother is not speaking to him

Mark Wahlberg, who has five brothers, two sisters and three half-siblings, admitted his mom, Alma Wahlberg, who has often accompanied him to red carpet events and premieres in the past, is ''not speaking'' to him at the moment but did not give a reason for their tiff. When asked if Alma picked out his dapper grey suit, the 42-year-old actor glumly told Live with Kelly & Michael on Wednesday: ''My mom's not speaking to me right now.'' Kelly advised the star that his mother was probably just busy focusing on his other siblings since he is successful. The mother-of-three said: ''It's because you're doing well. The mother always likes the one whose doing least well the most.'' Mark, who has four children, Ella, nine, Michael, seven, Brendan, four and two-year-old Grace with his wife Rhea Durham, previously credited his mother for helping him to stay grounded despite his Hollywood career. He said: ''Obviously, I am still the same at the core. Just because you have money doesn't really change you. Listen, I've always thought that at any time it could all go away and I could end up right where I came from. I have a lot of people keeping me grounded: my wife, my mother and my friends.''
