NBC has picked up Matthew Perry’s new comedy pilot called Go On for the 2012 to 2013 television season, with an order for 13 episodes. He’ll be playing the part of “an irreverent yet charming sportscaster” in his third series since Friends. The other two, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Mr. Sunshine only lasted one season each. In Go On, his character finds support from members in his group therapy sessions as he tries to deal with a recent loss. The series, which is written and exclusively produced by Scott Silver, will also feature Julie White, Laura Benanti, Suzy Nakamura and Khary Payton. The show’s release date has not yet been revealed. ~Krystin Edgerton

I hope it works out…personally I was disappointed when sunset strip was cancelled. He is a terrific dramatic actor.

I liked Mr. Sunshine a lot but he started to look like he was back on the drugs and turns out I was right and he went into rehab again. I like him and I hope this one finally catches on.
