If this photo is any indication, it looks like Mel Gibson has been having a lot of fun running around on the New York set of The Beaver. In it, he plays a man who walks around with a beaver puppet on his hand that he treats it as if it’s a living creature — and the paparazzi has been having a field day taking photos of Gibson with it. Jodie Foster, who’s directing the film, also plays his wife. It’s the first time they’ve worked together since playing lovers in the 1994 western Maverick. The Beaver is expected to be released in 2011.
