Method Man accused of shooting fan

method_manRapper/actor Method Man is being sued by a Houston fan who says he shot her with a pellet gun after she asked for his autograph, according to the Houston Chronicle. Mary Anderson says the shooting occurred following a concert on November 19, 2008. She claims he was signing autographs out the back window of his tour bus. When she handed him her concert ticket to sign, he suddenly pulled out the gun and shot her six times in the stomach and chest. Anderson filed a police report and was treated for minor injuries, according to her attorney, Daniel Horowitz, who told ABC: “These aren’t life or death injuries. She’s alive. She’s not paralyzed. She’s moved on with her life as far as the injuries are concerned, but punitive damages are to punish the person who did the damage and that’s the reason we’ve done this.” The suit, which does not ask for a specific amount, seeks compensation for physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment and disfigurement. ~Alexandra Heilbron

Its sad when people look up to a pathetic excuse for an apparent artist..cough joke of a human being like this guy. Pellet gun or not this is a sick action and he should punished for it.
The world needs more role models and most rappers sure arent fitting the bill. O and did i mention rap sales are down…must be because the cant seem to rap about anything different the girls, cars, money and how they have money before they even get paid…ooo my.

How did he sign autographs or even pull the trigger of the gun with only a few fingers?

Stop jumping to conclusions, the article doesn’t say who did, it just says she accuses method man of doing it, so there isn’t any concrete evidence he did it and it could have been someone else inside or outside the car, sometimes people only tell half the story, their side to make them look like the good guy/girl so she could have done something to provoke the artist.

And if he IS guilty of his crime, then he does deserve punishment and I feel that some artists think they can do whatever they want because the punishment they get for the crime are usually slaps on the wrists.

The person saying about role models and such you never grew up in hell, method man does teach the children if you listen to his music there are right approaches and inspiration is there (Reak, Ghost and GZA & Inspecta Deck) are better thoguh I think…but yeah it was one of those toy bb plastic guns anyways, people who try to sue over this should get slapped in the face, along with the commentor above obviously hasn’t listen to a Wu-Tang song….peace

Honestly, this smells like bullshit. Method Man is a respectable guy, and definately would not hit a woman, let alone shoot one. I suppose its alot easier for you guys to paint all rappers with the same brush and plug your ears with your fingers when their music plays.

    Wu-Tang is true hip-hop; a cultural movement.

Well first off, i can speak my mind being a musician and most rap isnt a positive artform for younger people. I also grew up in a hard upbringing but im glad you already know that! And i personally dont care for Wu-Tang. The music industry needs to take in more positive talent like canadian hip hop artists such as K’Naan, K’Os & Classified that can actually play instruments, sing, write their own music and speak about intelligent topics.

first of all, what?!?!?! “guy/girl so she could have done something to provoke the artist.” so youre telling me, if someone was bothering you for an autograph you HAVE THE RIGHT to shoot them with a bebe gun or pellet gun!?!? have you lost your mind?!?! i dont care WHAT you say to someone, violence is NOT the answer, nor should it be OK just because they “provoked” it.

What on August 9, 2009 7:52 AM “people who try to sue over this should get slapped in the face” are you serious?!? imagine, you have a daughter who goes to get an autograph and the guy SHOOTS HER WITH A PELLET GUN. now tell me, would you not encourage her to sue? considering if you SPIT on someone it is considered assault and you get CHARGED i think this person has EVERY RIGHT to sue, and should get about a million dollars just for the sheer humiliation of his/her idol shooting him/her for no apparent reason.

also WU-FOREVER on August 9, 2009 3:18 PM im wondering, did you say the same about chris brown when he beat his girlfriend?

    How true!

I’m so tired of these pictures of these guys “posing”. Some comments have been made about painting all rappers with the same brush — what do you expect when they all try to LOOK the same, like a braindead gangster.

  16. tributegirl • August 12, 2009 @ 3:40 PM

Wow, if this is true, he’s obviously one sick man, as are the people who put the blame on the victim and say she should be slapped. She’s already been shot, what more do you want!
