Michael Douglas receives lifetime achievement award

Michael Douglas, 64, received the American Film Institute’s Lifetime Achievement Award at a ceremony last week. Guests included Douglas’ father, Kirk Douglas, Jack Nicholson, Tobey Maguire, Benicio del Toro, Sharon Stone, Martin Sheen, Jane Seymour and Oliver Stone, according to E! Online. “I’ve had so many of my high moments and so many of my fine moments with you,” Nicholson said of working with Douglas. Douglas’s wife Catherine Zeta-Jones performed the song ‘One’ from his 1985 movie A Chorus Line. Douglas played a starring role in his first movie at age 23 in Hail Hero! (1969). Previous awards include two Academy Awards, a SAG Award and two Golden Globes.
