Michael Douglas’ son beaten in prison

Actor Michael Douglas’ son, Cameron Douglas, has severe injuries including a broken leg and fingers following a beating in prison. The 34-year-old was sentenced to five years in prison in 2010 for heroin possession and the following year, his sentence was extended to another four-and-a-half years for smuggling heroin into the Metropolitan Correctional Center. A prison source told the New York Post that the injuries were due to a crime boss who put a $100 bounty out on Douglas for testifying against a former supplier. The source says, “He broke his femur, which is hard to snap, and had to have a rod inserted. You don’t break a femur playing handball.” Douglas is scheduled to be released from prison in 2018. ~Luxy Hariharan
