Hit Parade Hall of Fame InducteesSixty-four recording stars have been inducted into the 2009 Hit Parade Hall of Fame, the largest group of inductees since the formation of the Hit Parade Hall of Fame in 2006. Inductees are determined by fan voting and the Nominating Committee. Only recording stars who have had two or more top ten hits in the ’50s, ’60s or ’70s are eligible. Some of this year’s inductees include: America, Louis Armstrong, Frankie Avalon, Glen Campbell, Petula Clark, Dave Clark Five, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Buddy Holly & the Crickets, Doors, Fleetwood Mac, Marvin Gaye, Lesley Gore, Michael Jackson & the Jackson Five, Billy Joel, KC & the Sunshine Band, Andy Kim, Carole King, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Barry Manilow, Mamas & The Papas, Peter, Paul & Mary, Helen Reddy,  Rolling Stones, Bobby Rydell, Simon & Garfunkel, Barbra Streisand, Temptations, Three Dog Night, Dionne Warwick and Andy Williams. Montreal-born Andy Kim said in a statement that he was thrilled to be included: “I love all these artists. It puts me back in the time when I was listening to the radio as a kid, and still today. I love all these artists, and I look at the names, and I hear their songs. I am forever grateful to be in their company.”
