Michael Jackson sued for $44 million

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson’s former publicist is suing him for $44 million, claiming that he failed to pay her for services. Raymone Bain represented Jackson during his 2005 trial on child sex abuse, and later managed his business affairs. She claims he owes her at least $44 million for the various deals she made for him. She filed the suit Tuesday in Washington, DC, stating that she had been entrusted to run nearly every aspect of Jackson’s life, including travel, security, scheduling meetings with record producers and arranging financing for loans. She claims he agreed to pay her 10 percent of the proceeds for any business transactions she was involved with. Jackson virtually disappeared from the public eye since the 2005 trial, and has recently been trying to get his music career back on track. He announced earlier this year that he would embark on a 50-date concert tour, which Bain says she helped negotiate and would be worth about $400 million for Jackson. Bain says she filed with “deep regret,” as she has always “greatly admired and respected” Jackson. “Despite the action I have been compelled to take for professional and business reasons, when looking back, I have no regrets,” she said in a statement on Wednesday. “Michael Jackson, in my opinion, is the ‘King of Pop.'” ~Meryl H.

YUCK…MJ is just gross, he is a slimeball. I feel so bad for his kids. When I first read she was suing for services, before I read further I figured she was going to sell him her baby like the others…lol (not funny, but funny at the same time)

Why do people insist on believing the worst about MJ? He is innocent until proven guilty, and as far as I know, he has not been proven guilty. So seriously, stop the witch hunt just because he’s more than a bit quirky.

And this woman Raymone… for someone whose job it was to help MJ, it seems pretty low brow to launch a lawsuit and plaster him all over the news. She “helped negotiate” a deal that “would be worth” 400M, and now she’s stomping her foot and demanding her 10%. If nothing else, MJ needs to make better choices of who he associates and partners with…

Is the mask for the swine flu or is it there to keep his nose from falling off? I heard rumours that his face is decomposing, because of all the surgeries he’s put it through….is that true?
    Or…maybe it isn’t a mask, maybe it’s some adolescent boy’s jock strap.

    LOL Minerva

Dave, I get what you are saying, innocent until proven guilty…but I have a child, and if someone did something to her and were claimed to be innocent when that person wasn’t….I would lose my mind…what would be left of it if this ever happened. So really, that is a load of crap…he admits to having sleepovers with young boys, that is not normal, and if he doesn’t like the suspicion, then he should stop doing such stupid things. As for who he hires…with his money and publicity, it’s hit and miss. He would never know who is sincere and who is in it for the money…he would really have to work off their resume and references and hope for the best. That’s the price you pay for being famous.

dave, are you implying that she shouldnt want her pay check just because she was “helping” michael jackson? she is still entitled to her money, and if she HAS to sue him in order to get it, then good. at least she WILL get her money and this lawsuit will warn others that want to “help” him so they will know they have to sue him in order to get their pay check. i dont care who you are, if you hire someone to do something for you YOU ARE REQUIRED BY LAW to pay them. bottom line. this isnt about smearing his name, this is about someone who took a job and was then refused their pay check. imagine if your boss decided not to pay you because you were “helping” him. how would you feel? would you not call the better business bureau or the labour board or whoever to insist he pay you? and i refuse to believe there is anything GOOD about michael jackson.

hey ur starting to sound a little smarter!

  14. tributegirl • May 11, 2009 @ 7:18 PM

    Nice one.

Anyway, mandee, I agree, she worked for him, she earned her money, she is entitled to her money, and if she has to sue to get it, so be it, who wouldn’t do the same thing if they were in her shoes?

minerva, hilarious!!! the jock strap comment is a little…ick, but the rest!
