Michael Moore gets divorced

Michael Moore's divorce has been finalized. The Farenheit 9/11 filmmaker filed for divorce from Kathleen Glynn in June 2013 in Michigan's Antrim County, claiming at the time their 22-year union had broken down and there remained ''no reasonable likelihood that the marriage'' could be preserved, and documents posted to the county circuit court's website this week showed the divorce has been granted and the case is now closed. A statement from the couple says they have ''mutually and amicably'' reached a settlement, despite reports of squabbling over the division of assets including nine houses. The 60-year-old filmmaker's apparently lavish lifestyle has attracted some criticism from neighbors in his Michigan community for seemingly contradicting the values and ideals he expresses in his documentaries. One store keeper told The Detroit News: ''He criticizes capitalism, but capitalism made him rich. Why he decided to live in this conservative area, I have no idea.''
