Michael Moore wants Matt Damon for President

Impressed by Matt Damon‘s political involvement of late, including his criticism of Sarah Palin and President Obama, as well as his marching in a teacher’s protest last month in Washington D.C., filmmaker Michael Moore is calling on the actor to make a run for the U.S. presidency. During an online chat with firedoglake.com this past Sunday, Moore said: “I think that he’s been very courageous and not caring about who he offends by coming out and saying the things that need to be said here. If you wanna win, the Republicans have certainly shown the way: that when you run someone who is popular, you win. Sometimes even when you run an actor, you win. I only throw his name out there because I’d like us to start thinking that way.”

Yeah I love the USA but its hard to watch them of late. With all the problems that they are causing, to the wars that i don’t agree with, its time for a change. I swear it seems so bad to me being Canadian looking over to them from the outside, it blows my mind that the American people haven’t overthrown the Govt. They seem incompetent and only seem to care about the rich people being ok. Every time they make a decision these days i just….. (facepalm)

Start small..like Govenor, not jump into Presidency. But just cause he speaks his mind and attends rallys for teachers and travels the world for movies and sees atrocities that he could have been sheltered from, doesn’t mean he’s politically savvy enough to run for Prez.
I like the guy and think his movie choices have been very smart, but let him live his life and if he feels ready then fine jump in with a small local office (town mayor) then move your way up after showing what you can do.
I’m sure if he didn’t care who he offends if he was President might cause more than just a ripple, it can cause a war. Diplomacy Michael Moore, diplomacy. In N.America we might have ‘more’ freedom of expression and religion etc, but over seas is a totally different story.

Michael Moore is a flaming idiot. Sorry, but his films suck and he comes off as an arrogant creep in them.

I’ve read Reviews of his last few movies and a lot of people said they didn’t like them. I thought most parts in the movies were very boring! Maybe reason was: No Good scripts. What I don’t like is they let one actor make 2-3 movies in one year and then invite them to make another movie the next year! Thats potentially 80 mil for just ONE person. Please give movie parts to other people who are out of Work!! Make sense?
