Mike Myers © TriStar Pictures 1994Canadian actor and comedian Mike Myers has joined the cast of the upcoming Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody. Directed by Bryan Singer and starring Rami Malek as Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury, the movie follows the rock band’s rise to stardom.

As Mike Myers’ fans know, this is not the first time he’s been associated with Queen and their hit song “Bohemian Rhapsody.” It’s featured in an iconic scene in Wayne’s World, when Myers’ character, Wayne, gets into a car with his best friend Garth (Dana Carvey) and they rock out to the tune. Check out the video below for a refresher.

Screenwriter Anthony McCarten, who received an Oscar nomination and won a BAFTA award for his The Theory of Everything script in 2015, has penned the screenplay for the upcoming film.

The role Mike will be playing has not yet been announced, but other cast members include Ben Hardy as drummer Roger Taylor and Joseph Mazzello as bass guitarist John Deacon. ~Alexandra Heilbron
