Miley Cyrus’ brother knocks up Disney star

Disney Channel star Brenda Song is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Miley Cyrus‘s older half-brother, Trace Cyrus. Song, 23, gained stardom with the pre-teen set when she was cast as loopy heiress London Tipton on Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody in 2005. She and Trace first went public as a couple in May 2010. The heavily tattooed Trace, 22, whose birth name is Neil Timothy Helson, previously dated Disney’s Sonny with a Chance star Demi Lovato but they broke up in 2009. His parents divorced when he was four, and he legally changed his name to Trace Dempsey Cyrus when he and his sister Brandi were adopted by Billy Ray Cyrus after the country singer married their mother Tish.

She’s the most annoying actress I’ve ever seen. Zack and Cody are cute, but I couldn’t watch that show because of her.

  2. Andrea • August 24, 2011 @ 8:01 PM

I was wondering why he doesn’t look anything like Billy Ray. That was nice of him to adopt her kids.

  3. chaelo • August 25, 2011 @ 8:57 AM

KNOCKS UP?? How trashy! no one will ever accuse of having class? Sooo immature! Just wondering was this written by a school girl or a redneck?

  4. Connie • August 25, 2011 @ 9:07 AM

Actually, the trashy people are pictured above. Tribute just calls it as they see it, imho.

  5. ferrin • August 25, 2011 @ 9:14 AM

I agree with chaelo. They are two adults in a relationship expecting their first child. Why tribute would stoop to an insulting term like “knocked-up” baffles me … though my guess would be slow news day.

  6. Victor • August 25, 2011 @ 9:32 AM

A good writer will come up with an interesting headline without the need to degrade their subject. Trace and Brenda are in their 20’s about to have their first child together… my question is this – is this even news worthy?)

I’m certain they earn 10 times more than the person who decided to write and run this story (combined)… so perhaps take a look in the mirror and get yourself some respect before you disrespect others.

I wonder if you ever have a child if others will say, “yeah… so and so just got knocked up”.

  7. Pat • August 25, 2011 @ 11:00 AM

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw “Knocked UP” in this Headline. Unbelievablely Low Class and Tacky Writing if u ask me.

  8. jjjones • August 25, 2011 @ 11:02 AM

I think Tribute was going for the “shock” factor by using “Disney” and “Knocks Up” in the same headline, but I do agree that it really wasn’t very mature to write it this way.

I also want to add – Trace is one nasty looking dude. He’s just creepy scary and I just don’t get what those pretty girls see in him.

  9. Jules Roberts • August 25, 2011 @ 11:15 AM

    Congratulations to the Happy Couple!
(That’s more like what the headline should have read).

These two are in their mid-twenties and have been a couple for a year and a half. Having a child together is a perfectly non-scandalous next step.
    I wish them well.

  10. Tom • August 25, 2011 @ 12:02 PM

C’mon people! Are you seriously offended? Do you know these people on a personal level? It obviously caught your attention so it worked…

  11. Deb • August 25, 2011 @ 12:32 PM

You guys think Trace earns money? Doing what? He’s not famous. And I agree with jjjones – he’s really creepy looking. It was obvious from first glance he’s not related to Billy Ray, who’s still smoking hot.

  12. Sheila • August 25, 2011 @ 1:14 PM

Its because she’s a Disney star.

  13. Gail • August 25, 2011 @ 1:39 PM

He was a guitarist, songwriter and vocalist in the band Ashland HIGH and is the owner of a clothing company called From Backseats to Bedrooms. Though you may not like the tats he does his own work. I think Tribute stooped in this case with the headline. If I wanted to read the national inquirer I would buy it…But I don’t. Tribute needs to watch how they report stuff.

  14. Steph • August 25, 2011 @ 1:42 PM

I agree, I think trace looks creepy scary too, but looks aren’t everything. Obviously he’s got a personality that these good looking girls enjoy his company and want to date him.
Congrats to them though, they seem happy together, and I hope everything works out for them and that their child is healthy! 🙂

  15. May • August 25, 2011 @ 2:01 PM

Why do beautiful girls date such ugly guys?

  16. SLITH • August 25, 2011 @ 2:12 PM

I do not know this couple, but I chose to read it out of curiosity. The reason why they made the headline the way it is, is so that viewers/fans will read it. They want you attention, they want you to read it, so they put in ‘knocked up.’

I once saw a boring and stupid commercial on a clothing brand or something, it drove me crazy at how dumb it was and I was reminded ‘they did it so you would remember it.’

  17. cusey • August 25, 2011 @ 2:15 PM

I definitively don’t agree with the headline, its rude. And who cares what he looks like none of you are dating him as long as they love each other thats all that matters. I couldnt believe all the comments I seen on here about that headline, who cares if she is PG everyone needs to back off and grow up do you have nothing better to do then to waste your life on gossip, if that was you they were talking about you wouldnt like it.

  18. Christina • August 25, 2011 @ 2:38 PM

Well, saying she got knocked up got you people commenting about it, didnt it? So it worked

  19. Caterina • August 25, 2011 @ 3:21 PM

This website pisses me off. Tribute, I have been a LONG time fan of your magazines, and USED to find them informative. This new garbage, gossipy, tabloid-esq crap is not informative. I’ve been noticing these trashy titles to articles are getting worse and worse. I’m opting out for my Tribute emails from now on. If I want to read the National Inquirer, then I’ll read the magazine.

  20. Taurin • August 25, 2011 @ 3:33 PM

This definitely falls under the joint categories of “Who Gives A Flying F**K?!?” and “How Is It Any Of Our Business?!”

  21. Kelsey • August 25, 2011 @ 3:35 PM

Ok so i read the comments on this article, so the headline is a bit redneck, but really what else are they gonna say besides “knocks up”.
Those of you who believe Trace is ugly, must be extremely shallow and stuck up. Looks are only a small factor in who a person is and why you should like them. Now personality is what really counts. Most every magazine is going to have some sort of “trashy title” its called media, reporters have to hype it up to make the stars either look bad or look good depending on the gossip thats being written.

  22. C-Dub • August 25, 2011 @ 3:48 PM

I thought the title eluded to it was accident and the couple were not together. it looks like they are together and are happy with each other so good for them. Take care of your child Cyrus. I don’t know who either of them are, but he sure likes his Disney ‘stars’.

  23. josh • August 25, 2011 @ 5:16 PM

congrats brenda : ) the baby will be just as beautiful as you are

  24. LowIncomebut happy • August 25, 2011 @ 8:56 PM

Trashy writer. Having a baby is the a most happy time between a couple. Lose Knocked up and the writer needs to grow up. Congratulations to Trace and Brenda.

  25. Ella • August 25, 2011 @ 9:37 PM

He was the guitarist & back vocals for Metro Station.

  26. jim gunn • August 25, 2011 @ 10:25 PM

well I could see it if it was Daisy Duck or Minnie Mouse… those broads were always a bit trampy but if dude knocked up Cindarella, man I’d be pissed off. Oh and despite the rumours, Cinderalla never did an orgy with sleepy, doc, dumpy, grumpy and gropey. She is as pure as the driven snow, in my book.

  27. mitch • August 25, 2011 @ 10:34 PM

Using the phrase “knocked up’ in the article is a parody of the movie.

  28. Dreg • August 25, 2011 @ 11:29 PM

can’t these Cyrus people keep it in their pants?
Miley is out there flashing her shit all over town and hanging off 30-40 year old guys, and not to mention her father who I think has a unhealthy fixation with his daughter.

  29. jim gunn • August 26, 2011 @ 1:14 AM

Trace might be the love child of Howard Stern and that old dude from Aerosmith-whatshisname-Tyler

  30. jim gunn • August 26, 2011 @ 1:18 AM

or the lovechild of Mick Jagger and Mr. Ed

  31. jim gunn • August 26, 2011 @ 1:22 AM

or the lovechild of Patti Smith, Mr. Ed, the Ramones, and Mick Jagger. Don’t laugh-these rich bastards get around. And we suffer…

  32. jim gunn • August 26, 2011 @ 1:54 AM

mostly we suffer by giving a crap about these losers. Patonage. Hollywood was built on who’s screwing who and favours owed because of these smarmy liasons. So a coke filled night say produces a loser and damned if that accident will ever work for a living but suddenly the ugly loser is a Star. Say Trace or the Disney Girl “Daffy” that got knocked up didn’t have rich parents would you be wasting time to discuss their farts or orgasms or whatever. The only reason I’m here is to help you before you become too ridiculous. Glad to be of help

  33. Tayderhead • August 26, 2011 @ 4:35 AM

LOLOL He really DOES look like a cross between Mr. Ed and Mick Jagger :):)

  34. VERITAS ARRIVED • August 26, 2011 @ 10:33 AM

  35. Deb • August 26, 2011 @ 10:47 AM

He doesn’t look anything like Mr. Ed who was an extremely beautiful horse. This guy is a really ugly person. He doesn’t even look like Steven Tyler – he’s way uglier than that. Having seen pictures of his mom, I’d say he looks like her. Thankfully Miley looks more like her dad than her mom.

  36. Jules Roberts • August 26, 2011 @ 10:58 AM

I think he looks rather dishy. Striking eyes, full lips, aqualine nose. Quite the biscuit, IMHO. And that smouldering, come hither stare. *tingles*

  37. omgsh • August 26, 2011 @ 11:41 AM

R U ALL DUMB! saying “its immature” just because they used the term knocked up! you use the term knocked up when your not married WHICH THEY ARENT holy shit man

  38. Germain • August 26, 2011 @ 2:03 PM

If the headline wouldn’t have said (Cyrus’ brother) nobody would have known who they are and probably would not have read the article. It looks like a hot girl and her stalker to me.

  39. Nikki • August 27, 2011 @ 2:41 AM

I worked with Billy Ray Cyrus on a movie he’s filming here in BC, and all I can say is, if his step son has half the manners and kindness as Billy Ray, they’ll be one smokin’ couple.
I’m NOT a country fan in any way shape or form, but Mr Cyrus is one class act (super hot looking in person too).
Best wishes go out to Trace and Brenda on their new baby.

  40. Kags • August 27, 2011 @ 10:34 AM

ew really Brenda? you can’t get a hotter guy? omg Trace is just so ugly

  41. christine • August 27, 2011 @ 7:04 PM

I am older than maybe some of you, but I look at Trace and I see a young Mick Jagger. Yum, I’d have his love child. Congrats to the happy couple.

  42. jimmysez • August 28, 2011 @ 5:43 AM

Mr Ed was a very handsome horse with a fine aquiline nose and dreamy limpid eyes that said “come hither with that apple” and I think he’d be proud to do Brenda and a little mortified to be compared to Trace (who looks a little like death warmed over). Mick Jagger is looking quite a bit like “Don Knotts with a halloween wig” lately, don’t you think?

  43. Mr. Ed. • August 28, 2011 @ 5:46 AM

Now “Sea Biscuit” was quite the biscuit…yumm

  44. Andrea • August 28, 2011 @ 12:27 PM

I agree with omgsh. If you’re not married and you get pregnant, you’ve been knocked up. That makes her trashy. Classy women get a ring and a ceremony first. They don’t do an ugly nobody who only got access to her because he’s Miley’s half brother.

  45. nonetheless, heya, fella, this became the seventies an era until the 1980s fitness tendency that when folks have been labeled alluring should carried way hair’s as well as,while put on one piece of writing jumpsuits.
