Miley Cyrus’ homeless VMAs date wanted by Oregon police

By Tribute on August 28, 2014 | 12 Comments

Miley Cyrus took Jesse Helt, a 22-year-old homeless man, as her date to the MTV Video Music Awards and although she knew he was homeless, it’s unclear if she also knew that there was a warrant out for his arrest in the state of Oregon. The arrest warrant was issued in November 2011, after Jesse violated his probation. In 2010, Jesse was arrested for charges of criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and burglary, after breaking into the apartment of a dealer who supposedly sold Jesse bad drugs. After his arrest, Jesse moved to Los Angeles and tried his luck as a model. On Monday, Jesse’s mother told reporters Miley gave Jesse money so he could visit his mother. On Tuesday, a sheriff from Oregon said he visited Jesse’s mother in Salem, looking for Jesse. The Polk County Director of Community Corrections Martin Silbernagel said they will arrest Jesse when law enforcement finds him.

Jesse found his worldwide recognition when Miley took him as her date to the VMAs and let him accept her award for video of the year. He also promoted the issue of youth homelessness during the evening. In response to the media focus on Jesse’s warrant, Miley Cyrus tweeted out several messages berating the media and promoting youth homelessness. “The media never fails to disappoint. You’ve chosen to go after Jesse instead of covering the issue of youth homelessness”

Did anyone even notice her absence in the media these past months? Out of sight, out of mind. Musically irrelevant, personally media hog disguised as some sort of concerned citizen.

Well, if she truly wants to help the homeless… she’s worth over a hundred mil? ( or so.).. just fork it over to the needy.

Yes because anyone who works should hand over all of their money if they are worried about homelessness or any other cause. All 3 of you are obviously jealous that she has a job and money and you guys don’t. Awesome job miley, even though i didn’t like any of your new videos or clothing choices, you seem like a decent person. When celebs do the als ice bucket challenge to raise awareness, people don’t get all bitchy and expect all those celebs to hand over their pay checks to save them. Keep bringing awareness, none of these rude people are doing a thing to combat or promote homelessness.

What’s Mandee hoping for? That somehow cyrus will read these comments, and maybe pick you up too? Get real, you are as irrelevant as cyrus. she exhibits no talent what-so-ever, unless sticking a phlegm encrusted tongue @ the camera, takes practice.

Well, she wouldn’t have to give away all her money. Even a half million or so could help if she really wanted to. I don’t believe anyone suggested she should make herself into a pauper, just put her money where that gross mouth is. Or maybe she is already contributing to the cause. If so, good on her.

I tend to agree with most of the comments made that these mega stars who live lavish lives can easily make huge tax deductible donations of which many do. Miley certainly is famous and rich enough to help quite a bit without asking those less fortunate to make donations.
Often it is the people who have so little that try to give so much but thanks to Miley for bringing all the attention to this ever growing concern. I am sure she has given some financial assistance and if the goal falls short she has enough to give more.

I hope she makes a sex tape soon.

    Mandee’s got it right.
Listen to you fleabags acting like you’d give up what you have to help anyone in need. Why should Miley give away tons of money to help? The idea of celebs endorsing causes and shedding light on them is because our pathetic society only seems to take notice when someone famous toots a horn about something important! That can generate much more awareness and commitment from those willing to help out (among which I can safely assume none of you can be counted on, with your dim-witted, pea-brained comments!). Have you ever seen a commercial with a celebrity on it? Well duh, there’s a reason why companies pay a crapload of $ to stars and not you–TO GET NOTICED. And that can go a very long way, especially when it comes to important causes that affect us as people. Get a clue already!

and not one of these comments mention the man the article is actually about……..

What a loser. I am all for helping the homeless. However, for this idiot to appear on television on a show that appears practically world-wide knowing he has broken the law proves that he is as brainless as Cyrus.
How long do you figure before someone recognizes him on the street and turns him in. Then they could both just GO AWAY!!!

Trevor, Trevor, Trevor. . .it’s been made. The only issue is, when will she be desperate enough to download it.
