With Miley Cyrus currently recuperating in the hospital from a sinus infection, her Bangerz tour is on standby. Following the cancellation of Tuesday’s show in Kansas City, the singer tweeted Wednesday she had also called off the St. Louis concert: “the hospital is sayin i wont b released today therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis. Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control.” Miley, 21, has been hospitalized with “a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics,” according to the singer’s reps. She was placed on “medical rest” at her doctors’ advice, the Spirit Centre in Kansas City said in a statement. On Tuesday, the “Wrecking Ball” hitmaker posted an apology to her disappointed fans via Twitter saying, “Kansas I promise Im as (heartbroken symbol) as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. (sad cat face) Not being with yall makes me feel shittier than I already do (face with medical mask).”
She also posted a hospital bed photo, complained about hospital TV [Hospital TV is wacccckkkkkkk!!!!]and said that she is miserable. Her next scheduled show is in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday, but it’s unlikely she’ll make it. According to TMZ, she had a prescription for an antibiotic called cephalexin to treat her sinus infection, but didn’t realize she was allergic to the drug. Her throat swelled up and she will remain in hospital until her condition improves. Her doctor says it may take almost a month for her allergic reaction to subside to the point where she’ll be able to sing again. ~Alexandra Sharova
