Miley Cyrus needs teleprompter during concerts to remember lyrics

Miley Cyrus has been caught reading the lyrics to her songs during a Las Vegas concert. A fan took photos from behind that clearly show a teleprompter attached to the front of the stage, down by her feet. It’s similar to those found in karaoke lounges — even indicating which words she should be singing by highlighting them in green. During her Bangerz Tour fans have seen plenty of crazy antics from Miley such as her infamous twerking, swinging on a giant hot dog, flipping people off and a whole lot of her tongue. Reading the lyrics to her own songs as she’s performing however, tops the outrageous scale. The concertgoer told RadarOnline: “I was at Miley’s Vegas concert and took these pictures because I couldn’t believe she needed a teleprompter with lyrics to all of her songs throughout the entire concert. And it’s not like they were just there for nothing — I caught her looking at them more than a few times!” ~Tarah Bleier

Singer and actress Miley Cyrus plays High or Not High with James Corden on his hit Carpool Karaoke segment and opens up about how she got into activism.
Sad. She’s probably lip synching too. Her mind’s too full of weeed to bother remember anything like the words to her songs. Unprofessional.
Lots of singers do that. Kelly Clarkson uses them too, and she doesn’t do drugs. Stop making it seem like Miley is doing something wrong. They all use teleprompters…all singers. They want to entertain the audience, and sometimes they might get distracted by something going on in the audience or they might be worried about something in the set. Instead of not being able to finish a song because she forgot a word or something, she uses teleprompters to make sure that her show is the best it can be.
Stop blaming drugs for needing a teleprompter. Singers try to give the audience the best show they can, and being able to finish a song is part of the show.
Anon Amous is right… I’ve seen it at other concerts… No big.
Another loser…like Lohan…who is going nowhere. She should have stuck to Hannah Montana. She is mediocre, at best, as a singer and her antics just put people off her altogether.
Not the best environment to be singing or acting due to the distractions. Do I think she’s a bad entertainer because of prompting….no. Do musicians use notes on a page, even for big concerts….sure – it’s expected. The mind is subject to anxiety attacks too…forgetting is normal, even without drugs or meds. Too bad we all can’t have eidetic memories. Attack her for other things, not this.
Give me a break! So what if she’s using a teleprompter? I’d rather she did that than lipsync, like others do. She (and others) put on huge shows, so why not have something to fall back on?
Better than using Autotune, like Bieber does 😛
Sorry but if Miley needs a mental nudge, or two, or three, or whatever, to remember the lyrics to songs that she’s sung dozens of times, then it’s not just her wardrobe that’s light on substance. Making excuses for distractions, anxiety, etc., lends zero credence to a performer who at best, is a mediocre singer with a taste for the circus freak-show. With Miley, the sexual antics are of far more importance than the music, hence the need for a prompter. Could not even begin to count the number of performances I’ve been to over the years, where REAL artists perform their entire sets without anything more than their amazing god-given talent and an appreciative audience.
When any of you critics are able to sing to an audience of three thousand plus-obscenity screaming fans on any given night, day after day with lights shining on you and cameras constantly judging every single one of your actions, while also carrying all your personal baggage and remembering everything you need to do for a two hour show… Then please, by all means let us all know how terrible Miley is for needing something to help her remember some lyrics.
Until then, try using some of your own drug free brain power.
Actually, are people really going to her shows for her songs and music anymore really? What does it matter if she reads off a teleprompter when she’s twerking on a giant hot dog.
I still find her a disgusting, trashy entertainer, if this is what it takes to make it big Lord help us all!
Come on, what did you expect? The Bangerz Tour is all about smoke and wieners…the music is totally secondary to the sex shtick. If you didn’t want to watch Miley dry humping Oscar Meyer in a sequined onesie, then you should have saved your money. Sad to say, but Miley is becoming more memorable for her Bubblegum Burlesque rip-off of the Kama Sutra than her music.
LOL at the people who are trashing her for this. I DO NOT like Miley Cyrus as a musician, actor, whatever, but a huge amount of artists use teleprompters. They don’t use them for every song, and usually they’re well hidden (eg look like a feedback speaker), but they need them usually for new songs that they haven’t quite gotten down yet. Big deal.
She seems to have gotten acting like a whore down pat. She doesn’t have a teleprompter for that. But she needs one to remember the words to her songs. Even SHE can’t remember the words to her songs. Less time practicing being a whore and more time focusing on what’s actually important. THE MUSIC!!!!!! People who find Miley entertaining are sad and pathetic.
