Militant Muslims threaten to kill Paul McCartney

Paul McCartneyPaul McCartney has received death threats because he’s scheduled to play a concert to celebrate Israel’s 60th anniversary. Militant Muslim leader Omar Bakri is threatening a suicide bombing if McCartney, 66, doesn’t cancel his September 25 concert in Tel Aviv, according to UK newspaper Sunday Express. Bakri is quoted as saying, “Our enemy’s friend is our enemy. We have what we call ‘sacrifice’ operatives who will not stand by while he joins in a celebration of their oppressions. If he values his life Mr. McCartney must not come to Israel.” However, the Beatles legend has reassured his Israeli fans that he will not give in to threats and that the ‘Friendship First in Israel’ concert will go on as planned, posting on his official website: “I’ve heard so many great things about Tel Aviv and Israel, but hearing is one thing and experiencing it for yourself is another. We are planning to have a great time and a great evening. We can’t wait to get out there and rock.” A $2m security operation has been put in place, with McCartney guarded by armed secret agents during his stay in Israel. An Israeli source says, “Anyone who tries anything will be meeting Allah sooner than they thought.”
