Mischa Barton’s show cancelled after 2 episodes

Mischa Barton‘s new CW series, The Beautiful Life, has been cancelled after only two episodes. Produced by Ashton Kutcher, the series was set in the glamorous world of the New York modeling scene and also starred Sara Paxton and High School Musical‘s Corbin Bleu. Six episodes were filmed, but only two were shown. Reruns of Melrose Place will run in its Wednesday time slot until a replacement can be found. This year has been unlucky for Barton, 23, who endured a very public meltdown this past summer when she was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold. She recently told a reporter: “I’m getting sick of answering questions about it. I just had a bad time of year and now it’s all over and done with, and I’m just very happy to be feeling happy again and back on top of it and not so worried about everything. It was just too much to handle for me at the time.”

i feel bad for her. i cant imagine how hard it is to have to deal with something like that in the public eye.
