Prince Jacques and Princess Charlene of MonacoThe people of Monaco are celebrating a historic event today. Princess Charlene gave birth to a twin girl and boy, the first set of twins in the royal Grimaldi family since the 13th century. Gabriella Therese Marie and Jacques Honore Rainier are the first born to Charlene and Prince Albert II. Prince Jacques is now the rightful heir to the principality.

Prince Albert II, 56, who is the son of actress Grace Kelly, had many locals worried that he would never produce legitimate heirs. Until now the only children he had were out of wedlock, although he has publicly recognized them. He married Charlene Wittstock, an Olympic swimmer, in 2011. ~Kelly Townsend
