Morgan FreemanMorgan Freeman‘s granddaughter, E’Dena Hines, 33, was found dead in New York at 3 a.m. this morning after police responded to a 911 call. The aspiring actress had suffered multiple stab wounds to her torso and was lying on the street in front of her apartment. She was taken to Harlem Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

E’Dena is pictured here at the 20015 Golden Globe awards with her famous grandfather. Morgan has paid tribute to her in a statement to Gossip Cop, writing, ”The world will never know her artistry in talent, and how much she had to offer. Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person. Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace.”

An eyewitness stated that he saw a man kneeling over E’Dena’s body before police arrived, screaming “God has arisen.” Police arrested E’Dena’s 30-year-old boyfriend, Lamar Davenport at the scene and charged him with second-degree murder. ~Alexandra Heilbron

So very sorry for your granddaughter’s death. Hopefully she was saved by God’s grace and if so, she is in Heaven with Jesus. What a tragedy and she was so young. May God be very close to you, Morgan Freeman, during this time of grief and sending much sympathy to you and your family. Sometimes people feel that movie stars don’t have troubles, but they are just like the rest of the world and God sees them and loves them too. Sending prayers your way that God will bring you peace. Her boyfriend will be dealt with in God’s time. Love and prayers.
