People attending an afternoon showing of Watchmen on Saturday afternoon at a Calgary theater got more action than they’d anticipated when police had to use a Taser to take down an unruly moviegoer. The man, later identified as Stephen Albert Missiaen, 27, started yelling during the movie. “He was drunk out of his mind,” a theater employee said of the man. “He was screaming.” After a manager asked him to leave, the man produced a knife. The other moviegoers fled the scene and officers were called. They found the man, unconscious, alone in the theater. He awoke when approached by officers, using the knife to threaten them. They used a Taser to subdue him. Missiaen was later taken to hospital where he was examined and released. He has been charged with one count of possessing a weapon.
